What was your all-time FAVORITE game system to play?

For now, Wii. For nostalgia, NES. NES games aren't as fun as they used to be, but I was an NES junkie. So it's really hard to judge... do I judge by today's experience or the experience at the time? In that case it'd probably something like:
NES
PC
Atari 2600
Wii
PS2
PS1
For today's experience it'd look more like:
Wii
PS2
Computer
PS1

It's hard to say, there are so many factors, but I'd have to go with the GameCube for being my most played console ever (probably). Even though it's library was somewhat small, I had a few games that I really played the heck out of. Super Smash Bros. Melee sucked up over 500 hours of me and my friends' time. Probably another 100 hours combined between Super Monkey Ball, Timesplitter 2, Wario Ware, and Mario Kart Double Dash, and that's just the multiplayer.

Sorry to all for not including the SNES. As I said before I did not own this system or play it much and I didn't want to include 4 Nintendo systems on a 10 option list. But so far the SNES is leading all other consoles with 15 votes by my count. The original NES is 2nd with 13.
The game I played most on SNES was SNK Baseball Stars which I thought was kinda crappy but all my friends loved it. I liked RBI Baseball much better at the time. Street Fighter was cool though.
On another note, I forgot to mention Donkey Kong 64 as another game I loved on the great N64.

Why would anyone pick the PS3 at this point? It's got, by far, the lowest amount of excellent exclusive games. I don't think that the lack of votes for the PS3 means it sucks, it just doesn't have anywhere near the amount of great games that would be required for people to call it a favorite console.

No kidding. I don't think the PS3, Wii or 360 should be in the poll.
You can't rank consoles among all time favorites until the end of their lifespan as they can start out great and then peter out or vice versa.

I guess by the time the Wii has a solid collection of VC games, it'd be the greatest console of all time, since it would basically be the Wii + GameCube + NES + SNES + Genesis + TurboG16 + NeoGeo

Dreamcast i placed as my top for the games and the cool VMU stuff but even more than that was the addictive online component of a few of their titles.
That is my rationale for the top picks.

Or, if you never really played the older consoles a whole lot and just started picking them up again with this current generation, you can easily say the most recent is your all-time favorite.
