The achievements were probably the only reason I played COD2 on veteran. However, once I did beat it, it was very satisfying.

Wow, thats surprising that there are no multiplayer achievements. I thought there would have been at least a few.

How hard is VET compared to normal diff? I was thinking of going back and replay it on VET.

Some sections are very maddening. There are several parts that require enduring much frustration, rather than using your reflexes and skills.

The map with the silo was incredibly hard. I lost count how many times I had to restart that level.

Beating COD2 on Veteran is one of the most satisfying single player experiences that I have had on the Xbox 360. It's well worth any frustrating moments.

Personal Gripe: That game has been out so long, they should give the multiplayer maps out for free.

But then they wouldn't be able to sell the "Game of the Year Edition".

I got stuck near the end of the silo sniping portion and had to restart. I made it to one of the final checkpoints right before I was struck by a mortar round. Whenever I would reload the mortar round would immediately kill me. It pissed me off because it took me so long to get to that part.

I finished COD2 a fewmonths agao and thought it was pretty good. Kind of reminded me of Brothers In Arms:Hell's Highway for XBox. I was going to get the maps but considering how old the game is plus what's been out and what's coming up Isaid no-way.

For any war game fanatic besides COD4 the new ones from Medal of Honor and Brothers In Arms both seem really good. They're just not getting the same press as the other "Hot" games.

Frankly, I think the WWII genre is getting old. I'm glad COD4 is taking a new direction.

Hands-on from IGN on the Multiplayer beta (more info on the perks and some of the maps). Beta is exclusive to the 360.

I actually like the WWII theme.

Alongside COD4, I'm really looking forward to the new Medal Of Honor game. Gonna buy both games when it comes out.

I haven't been following COD4 all that much, but has a timeframe been given for when the multiplayer demo will hit Live?

Probably not for a long time, if there even is gonna be a MP demo. On the other hand, rumor is that the beta is gonna start pretty soon

Sorry, that's what I meant. The beta. Has the sign-up for it already occurred?

Not yet. And like CWhippy03 mentioned, it's going to happen very soon (they said August, but not exactly when).

Ah good, just making sure I haven't missed anything. COD4 looks great, but I'm generally terrible at FPS so I don't check them out too often.
