Went to CC (Burbank, CA) at 2pm sharp, already sold out of COD3. Of course, there's nobody that could tell me that unless I wait in the full customer service line. Cashier said that they only got a couple COD3 in, but they had plenty of posters! Why do I even try for these CC promos?

I picked it up tonight at my local CC. 63$ with tax and no CoD3 in stock. They said if they get restocked on CoD3 this week i can come back with my receipt and get my free game then. I'm assuming it isn't going to happen.

I'm still on the fence for this, I don't know if I should buy it. Assasins Creed comes out next week, then Mass Effect the week after.

I'm not a big fan of online games in general but I enjoyed the heck out of the beta so I'm really looking forward to jumping back into the fray. I never did hook up with any DVDTalkers during the beta but hopefully that will change. We need to get some of us West Coasters together as I'm rarely ready to play until after 1AM Eastern time.

I'm planning to get started on the single player missions tonight but will gladly hop over to MP if anyone wants to add me in (gamertag: mugwumps).

okay went to circuit shitty today

they did not have any cod 3 but they rang up the sku for the game on my ticket as well and I ended up paying only $32.02 for cod 4 and it rang up cod 3 for $.01 in that total...they wrote in on top of the reciept that they owe me a copy of cod 3 when they get it in stock :)

I got lucky I guess because I picked up both tonight for $32.00. The cashier had to go to the back to get COD3: GE. Needless to say I'm pretty psyched...

Is it ringing up for $29.99 before or after they total it? Mine rang up for $59.99 both ways.

I have COD2 for the PC, COD3 for the Wii, and I got COD4 for the PS3 (cause my PC is getting a bit old). It's sooo awesome!

Just played a few single player levels of COD4 PC. OMG...no exaggeration...this game is incredible. The cinematic intro (with credits) is a stroke of genius.

Pertaining to the single player, it's great that you can either go pray/spray, or decide to go tactical and flank the enemy. AI is quite remarkable wherein if you only stay in one position, the enemy will flank you.

Highly, highly recommended!!!!

What?! Both the CC's I went too said no rainchecks and I didn't pay $32. Both gave me the, "While supplies last so no rainchecks" line.

Same here. I talked with 2 floor managers and they told me "if you'd have been here an hour ago, you'd have gotten it for $29.99...but we fixed it int he system now".

I'm not so much worried about their pricing glitch because it was a mistake.

However, I am <i>pissed</i> that some guys get, "Come back for your free copy of COD3 when we get them in" and I get, "Sorry, while supplies last and we don't do rainchecks so you're SOL". That's bullshit. Inconsistent YMMV bullshit like this drives me nuts.

My Best Buy said they do not match "free" offers. And CC was about as helpful as a bunch of shit-throwing monkeys, as they only had 3 copies of COD3, which were "sold out right away". Nor would they sell COD4@ the $29.99 so many reported. I mean, I get in on other deals, so I'm not too bent, but sometimes it just drives me nuts that these stores, especially CC, can't get their shit together.

I'm not gonna open COD4 til this is fixed one way or another.

Same with my local CC. One copy of CoD 3 left, non gold edition marked $49.99 :lol: and it was the regular Xbox version, too.

I was able to get BB to match the CC offer. I called CC at 10am, and they said they won't sell the game until 2pm. I knew if I tried to go at 2, they'd probably be out of COD3. So I just went to BB with my cousin and asked them to match it. It was weird, the cashier I went to rang it up no problem, but the cashier my cousin went to said "we don't match deals, only prices." She left to go talk to a manager, and when she came back, she asked my cashier how to ring up COD3 for free :)

Got through the first couple of levels tonight. I'm loving it so far, but that first level gave me motion sickness. :(
