Sorry, like I said, Noob question.
The only way that you can normally get all three "starter" pokemon is by trading. At the begining of the game you are given a choice to get one of the three starter pokemons, after that I believe that you will not be able to any of these in the wild.

Yeah, you basically have to trade for them and it means someone giving up their starter. I usually swap with my wife for her starter and have to find someone willing to give up the third one.

You can also just trade and then trade back. That way its in your pokedex.

Or pick a starter, trade it off and restart the game?

Or you can also breed them. It took me 7 tries before I finally got a female Chimchar (odds are 1 of 8 of getting a female). Gonna breed it later and trade the eggs to get the other starters.

Oh heck yeah. If I known there was hardcore porn in this game I would have bought it sooner.

well dammit

I spent all this time trying to get this Abbra last night, wasted my 'premiere ball' on the thing, but then wound up capturing 2 without even hurting them first. I then spent time leveling the thing up to lvl 11 and he still doesn't have a physical attack

I was happy that spanky the monkey evolved on me

Abra and Magikarp are always a pain in the ass to level up but well worth it in the long run. My penguin guy Willy just evolved last night. He was a liability at first, but he is getting pretty strong now.

I played about 4 hours yesterday, but spent most of that exploring and level grinding. Hope to get the second badge today.

yea...

what i did is just have him, or whomever I'm leveling up as my primary pokemon, and then just switch them out right away (splits exp). If it's a fight where you have a bunch of pokemon to battle consecutively, i just switch back when it asks, then switch back out

I always like the hold item you eventually get that automaticaly shares all experience between your pokemon. That way you don't have to hassle with switching them in and out.

There is also a guy in one of the houses who will trade you an abra for a machop if you don't want to have to burn a good pokeball on him in the wild.

This is a better one to get. Traded Pokemon level up much faster. I was able to get my second badge during lunch. Now to clear the town of Team whatever the hell they are calling them this game.

hes not too bad now (lvl 14). I gave him the 'hidden move' ability, which is pretty darn powerful. He has yet to learn one of his own moves, though :/

You need to go through the forest to the north of the windmill area. When you get to the next town you can get the second badge and once you beat Team Galactica in that town you can get the bike. I completed that and the bike road last night.

No it is south of the town you get the bike in. It is an overpass and actually has a decent 3D view as you go over it. You will see stuff below it that you have to backtrack to get.

i need some help...

I'm at the part where I need to find the hidden trainers before I can battle the gym leader, get the badge, and use the "cut" ability to chop trees. I found one in the grass near the cave in the east, but I have no idea where the others are hiding

I tried checking the prima guide at the store, but they seriously didn't have the locations in the book

No, last time I check I wasn't

I think the main problem is, I'm not sure where to look. I know I found the one hiding in the grass, which seemed obvious, but I'm not sure if they are all hiding in the main town area, if I have to backtrack...

Either way, if you don't want to answer the question, please refrain from acting like a dick as well

They're all in that one room in the gym. From what I remember, there's one on the upper right, one near the upper middle, one on the lower left, and one close to the middle, just on the right side. Try moving around the room and look for a few pixels of a person sticking out from behind trees. Once you find one, they'll give you a clue on where another one is. If you're looking in the town, you're in the wrong place, unless I'm misunderstanding your question.

no, and I really appreciate the effort, as this was frustrating me to the point where I started doing the digging mini-game in the caves...

are you talking about walking into the gym and going up another room where the screens slants slightly, and it appears as if NOTHING is in that area?
