Best headset that will work with the Xbox 360?
I've searched this forum and seen a handful of questions about the wireless headset. I could swing the $60, but I really don't mind plugging it into the controller. Plus the quality seems to vary from person to person or unit to unit.
I'm really looking for the best sound & voice quality. I'd prefer stereo instead of 1 ear, but I could live with either. I do play while on the treadmill and the earpiece on the regular ones get soggy after 50-60 minutes.
It sounds like the plug is standard from what I've read on other searches. I guess that means cell phone headsets will work if they have a volume control on them.
I'm looking to keep the cost under $50 if possible.
Anyone using anything other than the 2 Microsoft versions that they really like?
Thanks

I had the $60 wireless one and took it back. Sound quality sucked and it wasn't very responsive. People I talked with said it would cut out when I would begin speaking. For example, I would begin saying "Their...." and they would hear "eir". Funny, I never seemed to have that issue with the wired headset that came with the 360 and it was plugged into a wireless controller. I just assumed it was a wireless issue.

I am sure there are much better ones out there, but I found it for ~$12 at CC awhile back. It works pretty well but takes some time getting used to (atleast for me, as far as comfort goes)

It's a bit pricey, but I loooooooooove the NFL headset that's modeled after the NFL Head Coach's headset. I don't care that it's an NFL headset or anything, but it's really comfortable and easy to use with great voice clarity. I've tried (and returned) the wireless headset, and all of the other ones are way too flimsy. I think you can pick this up for $30-$40 now.
