I'm just now starting 2-1 and I already get lost in Flipside.

I made the mistake of trying out the red pipe before I finished 1-3. Had to start over at 1-1. Found a couple things I missed though.

Love the game so far, but what is with Mario not swinging his arms?

Yeah! The fans know better. Voice acting is hi-technicaaaaaaal!

Bought this over the weekend, and got up to Chapter 2-2. This game hasn't really drawn me in like I expected, but it still has a weird addiction grab over me.

Yeah, I apparently missed the arcade entirely I will have to explore Flipside better as well. I think I'm in world 3-2.

VA is a non-issue for me. Presence of good VA can add depth to a game, presence of bad VA can detract, but absence of any VA isn't a loss in my mind.

Nerlom is referring to a different "100". I didn't even find the Pit of 100 Trials until after chapter 6.

I will add its a very minor complaint. I'm loving this game and its put the Wii back into heavy gaming rotation.

BTW, this game is very simple graphically, but I love the colors on my HDTV.
Also, the control is really good. Does not seem tacked on at all even though this was a Cube game originally.

Anyone else finding the boss battles to be too easy? I'm at chapter 7 and I don't think I've fought an enemy that took more than 10 hits (except for in the Pits of 100 Trials*).

*Pit spoilers
Spoiler:
The first Pit of 100 Trials (in Flipside) is rather easy. Just take a few healing items with you, and be patient with Boomer. I went in at level 8 (yes, eight), right after opening Chapter 3. Although, I've heard of people having trouble with it even after opening Chapter 5. For you veteran gamers, I recommend going in quite early, for the reward is a VERY useful Pixl that I must say I have equipped for the majority of the time.

The second pit though...**

**Chapter 7+ spoilers
Spoiler:
...is troublesome. It's in Flopside, and only available after you unlock Luigi. You have to beat it twice in order to fight the boss in Room 100.

Okay I am confused. I had to back out of 3-4 to get some healing items, but when I try to return I am started at 3-1. Do I really have to play all the way through those parts again? WTF?

I guess so. I did that yesterday out at 3-2 and had to start back over also.

Okay, I am cool with restarting 3-4, but restarting the whole chapter is a bit much. Guess I have no choice. Now I have to overstock on healing items before starting chapters.

That's why I was hesitant to leave 3-3 to go try the Arcade. Plus I wasn't sure Tippy would be there. It sucks having to start the whole level again.

It was pretty easy to go back through. All the doors you unlock remain so you don't have to completely replay the level.

Chapter 3-4 was beyond awesome though. Now if I could only find the pillar so I can start Chapter 4.

My girlfriend picked this up for me a few days ago. I'm at 2-1, maybe 2 hours into the game so far. Seems fun. I'm not as sucked into it as some people seem to be, but I am having some fun. Hopefully I wont give up on it like TTYD.

I got started on this tonight. So far I'm not liking this game. I'm going to keep going, hopefully it picks up for me.

I made it up to 7-2 tonight. While the main quest hasn't been overly challenging, I can tell I've missed a bunch of optional stuff. For example, I had no idea that there was an arcade in the game until I read about it here. Then I spent about 30 minutes looking for it without any luck. I had to use a FAQ to figure out where it was, which is kinda funny since I've breezed through the game so far without any outside help. I felt pretty dumb once I saw where the arcade was hidden. I don't like using FAQs but I figured I could make an exception in this case since it's an optional part of the game.

I think the only people who would be disappointed by this titles are those who are ignoring the "Paper" in Super Paper Mario's title. For fans of that series, this game is just about the best thing since sliced bread (and, I guess, The 1000 Year Door).

Just saying if you're looking for and expecting New Super Mario Bros. 2... you will be disappointed.

Well, I was looking for more Paper Mario than Super Mario 2 and, by default of the fighting style, it's not really like the earlier rpgs. The battles aren''t as fun, but the change of pace and style is fine by me, but I still prefer the older turn-based style of the gc and n64 versions.

Just got Bowser added to my party. This game is starting to pick up. I had to tear myself away from the game to go to bed.

Does anyone know how to beat Mimi in 2-4? My wife's having a hell of a time.

IIRC, we just jumped on her when she was close - I think she crouched at times.

Spoiler:
Is that when she's in her spider form? If so, you have to use the Thoreau pixl to pick up the red gems that Mimi throws and toss them back at her. If I'm thinking of the wrong battle, just list a few details about it and I'll probably remember it.

Okay, so 5-1 is the most annoying level ever.

Spoiler:
What are you supposed to do after you get the second warp pipe? You come up in the background, but it seems to be a dead-end.
