Exactly. It's an average.

Just seems high for an average when you factor in all the 5-10 year olds with GBA's DSs etc.

Seems like they would pull the average down lower than 33, and that it may be off as no survey is going to capture kids that young.

I have a feeling this is due to the fact the 13 year olds playing Halo threw out the survey.

As a 13,854-year old man, I can understand how I may have skewed the survey a bit.

Interesting... Being involved in a clan and I know lot of gamers that are 30+. In my clan, we got 6 members (including me) that are in late 30's and one in 60's. My good friend's clan have more than 20 members that are in 30's.

I really enjoy playing online games with adult than kids. Kids always screaming "HEADSHOT!" or "N00B" repeatly on public message.

I guess it depends on what you call a gamer. My grandma used to play Othello and other games on her computer all the time (she doesn't have one anymore though). My mother-in-law owns a GBA and plays one all the time and she's almost 60. My uncle was the first person I knew who had a Nintendo and Intellivision. (He has/had a son, but he bought those for himself).

I honestly believe there are more younger baby boomers and older Gen Xers playing video games than 5-10 year olds. Just because there are more of them.

And don't forget Old Grandma Hardcore. She skews the survey a bit too.

Two 32 yo's in this house, we play FF XI, I've recently been playing Zelda: Minish Cap on the GCN Gameboy player, and my wife has a DS attached to her wrist.
