I noticed that the Rock Band bundles for PS3 and Xbox 360 are $169.99 now at Amazon and EB Games...down from $199.99.

And I'm hoping they announce a wireless package...for $30 more than the wired package, you ought to be able to get a wireless package at $200.

That is some shitty news about the release date but if they can work out a wireless bundle for the 360 at a decent price then all will be forgiven.

Ive been eagerly anticipating this game. Not too happy about the Black Friday release. However, I was gonna be in line for BF anyway to get a laptop, my sis a laptop, my friend's getting an HDTV, and I might get some other things too. Add that to Rockband and its gonna be a crazy weekend for me!

I mean just look at how many CLASSIC songs are on this game, Tom Sawyer, Reaper, Gimme Shelter, all of NEVERMIND. This is gonna be crazy! I am also bummed though about the wired 360 bundle (more cash for me to spend cuz I gotta go wireless) and the lack of voice over Live is crushing. Hopefully that will get fixed down the line.

Looks like this is no longer available for pre-order at Amazon. I don't know if it has something to do with their system, or if they've already filled all of their pre-orders. Either way, I went ahead and pre-ordered at GameStop. Can't wait for this game!

Well, Harmonix might have shot them self in the foot. Apparently the only way this will be available in November is the guitar, mic, drums, and game bundle. If you wanted to just buy the game and buy a guitar/mic/drums separately, you'll have to wait until February. Lame.

Any proof of that other than the Gamestop listings? That would be a pretty stupid move.

I can't believe they wouldn't have just the game available...? That would seem a pretty easy thing to get out, if the game is complete in time (which obviously it will be if they release the game in the bundle).

If the only way to get the game was in the bundle, or else wait until Feb., the game would be selling at quite a premium on ebay, I would imagine.

EDIT: Looking at Gamestop.com, they show the bundle shipping 11/23, and the game itself shipping 11/23, but the drums, mic, and wireless guitar shipping 2/4/08.

According to this week's OXM podcast, at launch, you will be able to buy the big bundle, the game separately, and/or the individual instruments. No other instrument/game bundles will be available to start out with.

Okay, now Xbox360Fanboy is reporting that the ONLY way you can get Rock Band at launch is to buy the bundle. Fucking lame! Since I'll already have 2 guitars, I guess I won't be playing Rock Band until 2008.

I can't see playing Rock Band without the mic and the drums, so I'm fine with the bundle.

However, Amazon and Gamestop are still showing the game by itself as being available on November 23rd. And Gamestop is "guaranteeing" delivery on the release date.
