Is the Gamecube dead?

And therefore no more games will ever come out for it?

I haven't converted to Wii yet and not sure if I will until at least Metroid, Resident Evil or a great Mario game comes out.

I still love my Gamecube and love Twilight Princess right now on it.

Gamestop shows a grand total of six titles "coming soon". So, yeah. It's dead.

I'm hanging onto mine when and if I get a Wii. It can go with the kid's tv, while the Wii stays on the main tv.

There won't be any more games other than maybe some crappy licensed kids games.

Radio Allergy (Radigry), a 2d shmup, is supposed to come out in the very near future, but it has been delayed a few times already, so who knows. Amazon is taking preorders for $19.99.

At this point, it seems like if it ever does come out, it is going to be a small release that becomes hard to find. Since I like shmups anyways, I'm going to pick it up.

Other than Radio Allergy, I think Josh is right. If Gamestop has 6 in their system, RA is one, you can bet the other 5 are Disney/Nickelodeon titles.

GCN is dead. Enjoy what you have or move on. If you are looking for an occasional new title, it may be time to pick up the wii.

It is not dead, it will channel its spirits through the Wii. Viva La WiiCube.

It's dead in my book... took it off from my TV stand long ago... i don't see any reason why i need it and why should i hope more games from it... unless the games are super cheap, like under $10?

For me the Gamecube has been dead since the release of Resident Evil 4 in early 05'. I honestly haven't powered it up since I beat that.

It's dead to me. At a party in January, one of my guests murdered it - probably during a raucous Donkey Konga session. I will definitely be tracking these activities in the future since DK jam sessions will now have to be played on my Wii!

Didn't see it mentioned anywhere else, but Gamestop has a $5 off $14.99 or greater used GCN games in their online ad for in store. I bought Resident Evil for $10 with it.

I went in EB earlier and the selection left a lot to be desired. I only went in looking for three titles and they didn't have any of them.

The EB Games near my work has 0 (ZERO!) Gamecube games. Ok.. I lie, they do sell Donkey Konga. I haven't checked others near me.

EBgames/Gamestop/FuncoLand have very few Cube games around here (west-central OH).

I've actually noticed a slight increase in GC game stock at the local best buy in the recent weeks. Mostly first party and licensed stuff. I'm sure that it is for the Wii and not some resurgence in cube activity

With Super Paper Mario and Donkey Kong Blast moving to the Wii, you cannot argue against that even Nintendo thinks it's dead. And who are we to judge the Will of Nintendo?

Mine is. Hadn't played it in months and months. Powered it up and kept getting disc read errors.

Other than the Metroid Prime games, Eternal Darkness, and the first Resident Evil "remake," I drastically underused my Gamecube and now I'm scouring the local game stores to find used copies of some of the games that I missed (Rogue Squadron 2, Resident Evil 4, even Wind Waker) to play on the Wii. I'd doing the same thing with some PS2 titles that slipped by me also.
