yea, its weird getting used to the "2 fingers on the top, 2 on the bottom" to stay in contact with the buttons, as well as support the weight of the controller.
I'd say in about 10 minutes or less, you should have the hang of it

I found an S rank guide on the internet which includes links to youtube, showing someone beating all the missions on hard, and getting an S rank.
I might have my plate full for the week trying to achieve this

i seem to having a difficult time with "swarms of red eye".
do you stay on the ground and just keep hitting the auto-lock button to aquire targets and fire constantly?
funny thing is I completed missions more difficult than this.
is customizing your mech a must for the missions?
or can you just use the default schematics that gets unlocked

for swarm of the red eyes, grenade launchers and machine/gatling guns are really key to beating the crap out of that mission. Grenades will take out multiple targets at once, and the machine guns have a ton of ammo so it can last you the whole mission.
what I do is run to the very edge of the level (across from where you start) and try to gun them down before they enter the area. If some get past you, you can always boost to get behind them again and take them out.
I'm going for S rank on medium and hard right now. I only have another 15 missions to go before I star everything
