I never played the original, would love to see this on the Virtual Console, or it's too big of a download, a cheap port.

They should include the original as a bonus on the same disc as the sequel.

Now THAT would be a great use for it!

I'm not a graphics whore, but those look pretty rough. Hopefully they are punched up a bit. They look 1st Gen Gamecube, if not worst.

Considering the game was just recently announced, I'm sure they are fairly rough.

According to the article at the top it has supposedly been in the works for a year now.

I'm excited, but the graphics kinda pull away from that a little (very last generation). Kinda looks like the last generation of xbox games.

keep in mind those screenshots have been scaled up quite a bit from what you will actually see on the Wii...

I honestly don't care if the graphics are not the most mind-blowing things ever. I just want it to play well. If they nail the controls, I'll live with the graphics.

I'm going to have to bust out the original and Christmas Nights soon...

Here's hoping that the next project for the team working on NiGHTS is a remake of Burning Rangers. Damn that game was good too...

The screenshots are larger than they should be (720x480) but also it's probably that people are just used to seeing screenshots "touched up." It might not be so much for PS3/360 games, but I remember seeing so many screenshots of PS2 games that were aliased beyond what the system was capable of (Kingdom Hearts II is one that's fresh on my mind).

I think the character models just look so "square" and angular. Not rounded.

It's only four screenshots, wait until you see it in action, then make judgement on it. As long as the controls are solid, I'm in.

Seriously though, I only posted the screens so everyone could see that the sequel looks to be spot on with the original. I agree with lordzeppelin this game does not have to have mind blowing graphics for me to buy it.

The only issue I see with a game like this and the graphics is that if the frame rate isn't high and the graphics are rough I can see a lot of people getting sick from playing it (myself included) due to the way you fly around everywhere. If I tried to play a N64 FPS for too long I would get crazy dizzy. The higher frame rate in today's game took care of that.

THAT LOOKS AWESOME!

Oh my God. Please, Sega. Please don't sour this like you've soured so many others before it.

They actually used "In a world..." in that trailer.

Still, I can't wait for this and already have it pre-ordered.

never played the first one - this one honestly looks kinda meh to me. Not sure why - I hear it was an excellent game - but I guess I lumped this into the Pandemonium genre, and I didn't care for that game at all.
