Anyone tried the Datel Xport?

I picked one up at Best Buy for $17 a/c but haven't opened it yet. No way in God's green earth I'm spending $180 on a second hard drive, but thought I might transfer video files and such to my computer's HD if it wasn't too hard.

I was pretty sure the on10 video yesterday said it would be in the Elite box as well.

I have one of those datel xports. Used it once to back up the drive, but I haven't tested it at all otherwise.

I see someone here at DVDTalk got Guitar Hero II early. Dan and Kris was playing last night and has a good chunk of achievements already.

I'd love to hear how the guitar is and if there is any content in the market place yet. I'm still hoping that the first DLC for the game is all the songs from Guitar Hero I.

I have a few questions pertaining to selling my Xbox360 (in order to upgrade to the 1337 model coming out in April):

How do I make sure my personal info (including credit card info) is wiped from it, as well as my account info?

And does that mean I lose my Xbox Live account by selling the unit to someone else?

Is there anything else I need to worry about when I do sell the unit to another person?

Hang 'em High should have been available from Day One. That's pretty much the only map I ever play anymore.

At least now I'll have a good reason to break open Halo 2 again. . .

Leaving aside the question of whether this is desirable, it isn't even possible -- they would need an HD DVD drive that's as fast as the 12x DVD-ROM drives in the current 360 and such an animal doesn't exist yet, at least not for mass production.

I would recommend wiping the HDD and checking after that, afaik, everything is stored on the HDD.

Any content you have purchased is tied to your gamertag, as well as your console. Therefore, whoever you sell it to should be able to redownload any content you have purchased for free. Also, you'll only be able to play your XBLA games on your gamertag when you're connected to live on the new xbox, unless they've changed things for the Elite.

When my box died and I got a new one via GameStop's product replacement thing, I had to call Microsoft and fax them a copy of my receipt and they credited me back the MS Points needed to repurchase everything, and thus "tie it back" to the console, so that my wife would have access to full games and so forth.

Thanks for the info on moving from one Xbox360 to another one. It sounds like a PITA, but I guess I'll slosh through it if I do sell the unit.

Is it easy to wipe the HDD?

Not sure if it's been posted yet but Toys R Us is having a buy 1 get 1 free deal. I think it may just be on 3 or 4 Activision games(COD3, Marvel:UA, Tony Hawk, X-Men Movie game). Seems like a good time to pick up COD3 and Marvel:UA since they're both on the list...

Had a huge scare tonight...turned on the 360, and was met with a red light in the lower right quadrant and an error message. Googled it, and found out it was a hard drive error - unplugged the HD, plugged it back in, and haven't had a problem since.

my 360 has been giving me disc read errors when i power it up with a disc in. After i eject and reinsert, its not a problem...

may have to exchange mine out soon :/

My friend and I played about 5 hours of R6:Vegas Co-op this weekend.

Probably one of the greatest co-op experiences ever.

I'm thinking that Vryce was talking about them packing in the stand-alone HD-DVD drive, and not a built-in HD-DVD drive.

whens that new Gears of War update supposed to come out?
