Not a bad choice at all. They usually go with the high draft picks, but Zabransky is a great choice to put on the cover.

Is he the first non-first round pick or non-Heisman Trophy winner to be on the cover? I would've thought they'd want Brady Quinn on there.

Ian Johnson would have been better, after he proposed to his girlfriend after the Fiesta Bowl. Ah well.

Why Quinn? He wasn't able to win any big games all season. Sure, he had some good come backs against Michigan State and Georgia Tech, but then again they shouldn't have been behind.

Probably didn't have to pay much money to get the no-name QB on the cover. I'm sure that T.Smith's agent demanded a ton of $$$. And as said above, Quinn did absolutely nothing to warrant being placed on the cover - he had 4 chances to beat USC and got his ass handed to him every year.

Don't they have to use someone who is not in school anymore?

Yeah, it has to be someone who's out of school and Johnson is only a Sophomore.

Besides, the Bose State game was the most entertaining game all year, people will remember it. Zabransky has image power beyond that of hardcore college watchers, its a strong marketing move IMO.

Yeah, that was a comeback. Anybody could have predicted that choke-fest!

I am glad to see a non-"big name" on the cover.

Ah, I didn't know that. I figured as long as the player wouldn't be making money off of the cover, that it was allowed.

Is that the official cover? It doesn't look like a photo, more like CGI.

Not only did the QB throw the almost-cost-them-the-game pick, but Johnson scored the winning TD, the two receivers ran the hook-and-ladder to perfection and didn't the backup QB throw a TD in OT? Granted, Zabransky had balls of steel in that game and it's great to see a program like BSU get some deserved recognition, but EA should have opted for a team shot on that cover.

I'm not a Quinn fan, but he is a big name (even if most of it is from the Notre Dame hype machine and the media sheep), so I figured he'd be someone they'd want for the cover. Unless, of course, the Irish were asking for too much $$$.
