I just wanted to get achievements for that contest so I can get free Contra

I really don't care though...but apparently Achievements didn't work when NO sliders have been adjusted.

2K never seems to test their games....they really need some good SPORTS fans to play these games.

I bought this yesterday and played a few games. I'm really liking it, but the fielding is not that great. They need to add a view that is higher up; it can get hard to see the ball on the ground in relation to your outfielders to get a good line. Also, computer fielders seem to make a LOT of great plays. Maybe I need to tweak the sliders a bit...

Yeah, the fielding is a bit weak. I hate how they show the 1B view on throws to first....horrible. They need a higher view.

Also, the fielders are too good. Too many robbed HR's. Lots of diving catches. I know I have to tweak sliders, but I want to unlock a few achievements before I do that. I guess I have to get used to the game first anyways.

I could've sworn I got achievements after changing sliders around during a game!

I think the rule was you won't get the achievements that say "Must be on PRO of higher"....although, if you did, that's great.

I still have to play a few more games before I screw with sliders.

I agree. The fielding sucks. That's really my only gripe with the game so far.

I like the pitching interface and the game looks fantastic though.

call me petty, but I like that the managers that I have seen have the real names on their backs. Do the pitching coaches have the same?

No breaking up double plays...the only thing I don't like about this game so far (besides the fielding angle). Everything else is top notch.

I was playing today(PS 3) and it was late in the game. Everything was fine until in the 8th the other team got a double and from then on whenever they had a runner in scoring position the little ball in the strike zone would start wildly going all over the place. This made it impossible to pitch. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yea..the pitcher is nervous. You should be able to bring the line up card up and have amound visit to calm him down.

Yep, same thing happened to my guy with max stats... at first I thought it was my controller, running low on batteries or something as the same thing had happened in 2K6, then I noticed it showed my pitcher's condition was tense.

Couldn't figure out how to get a mound visit, but ended up getting out of the tense situation with some good pitching anyways.

No problems with achievements, even got some when I simulated a season to see how the team would do with my 2 created players.

achievements work for me now...I've just played a few games on PRO, no slider adjustment (yet). I'll screw with sliders once I unlock all/most of the achievemnts I want.

Franchise is still broken this year. The fatigue is STILL screwed up this year, Roster glitch.....annoying but the game is growing on me.

Also, do the pitchers tire FASTER on higher difficulty? The CPU NEVER replaces the pitcher lately....also, I had Nate Robertson goes 10.2 innings the other day.

how do you visit the mound? I was in that same "nervous" situation on my 360 and the controller was vibrating like crazy

hit LB than select the lineup portion of the lineup card choose your pitcher who should be in the 9th spot in the batting order. the subsequent menu should have a listing for mound visit.

Not sure if this is a glitch, but twice, I hit the LB to bring up the lineup card and my batter switched sides of the plate. Im using the Tigers, so having Carlos Guillen switch sides isn't a big deal --- except I didn't want him to. WTF?

Are you sure you didn't hit RB? Hold you hands up, stick out your thumb, now which one makes an "L"...that is left

I kid, I kid. RB is supposed to flip the batter.

I'm underwhelmed with this so far, but it's mostly because I suck. I CANNOT hit the ball. I was good at hitting in 2k6 with the swing stick, but even on rookie with this, I can't hit jack. It never seems like my hitter adjusts to where I tell him to swing. Every time I miss, I see the pre-pitch circle where I left it before the pitcher throws, but it does not feel at all like he's swinging where I tell him to.

Fielding angles are poor, and that's been discussed, but I totally agree. The 1B camera is terrible, and the CPU outfielders catch anything that isn't a home run or a bloop single.

I'm also extremely pissed that they took out the option to change the franchise season length, I can't play 162 damn games and I hate simming my franchise.

So I'm frustrated and disappointed at this point, I hope I can get the hang of things and turn it around. At this point, I get too damn frustrated and just go jump around in Crackdown for an hour instead.

I picked up MLB 2K7 last week. It's pretty good and graphics are top notch. The fielding is spotty though... And ALL baseball games have one inherint flaw - you cannot tell if a pitched ball is a ball or a strike; so you gotta swing at almost everything. I wish they would implement what Front Page Sports Baseball would do; it would show a red or green ball for a split second after it left the pitchers hand. Green means strike, red means ball... Simple but effective.
