Bump for release date! I'll be getting this at GameCrazy with some trade-in credit I have saved up. Anyone know if 5/22 is the ship date or the actual in-store date?

Is this coming to the DS as well? For some reason when i heard the name i thought it was supposed to be a DS title but i could have just been confused. It does look really good.

You know, I'm looking forward to Odin Sphere and all, but an excerpt from this (positive) review makes it seem like too much of a pain in the ass to deal with:
I'm exhasted just from reading that - forget trying to do it all...
...you’ll have to put quite a bit of thought into managing your inventory. Just an hour into this 40-hour epic, your bags will likely be full of gear and food. Combined with the fact that money is hard to come by, the game’s inventory system forces you to use your seeds to grow food at opportune moments and use your Alchemy skills to make new items. Some gamers might become immediately frustrated by the inability to grab every single thing they come across, but Odin Sphere’s inventory hurdles make you pay extra care to how you fight, heal, and collect. How does that work? Here’s an example: Say I’ve got a Mulberry Seed, a Rosemile, no food, I could use some health, and my Psypher is in dire need of a recharge. Did I mention I’m right before a boss? Well, what you can do is toss the Mulberry Seed in the ground, which requires 5 Phozons to grow 2 berries. Rosemile is a seed that doesn’t require any Phozons to grow, and in fact releases 12 Phozons when planted. I’ll plant that as well, and wait as 5 Phozons are released to the Mulberry Seed. While that’s growing, I’ll snag the other 7 Phozons, then devour the 2 berries that just grew. Now I’ve got full health, a charged Psypher, and I picked up some experience from the whole process.

Hopefully it's the sort of thing where you pick up those nuggets of information in small pieces as you go along. I think the reviewer explained it in excruciating detail to drive home his or her point and emphasize the game's depth, but I'm guessing you can start playing without worrying about things at such a minute level. The big complaints I've heard so far are the slowdown issues and the fact that the game doesn't really hold your hand enough early on, but that's why the Intertubes created GameFAQs and obsessive nerds.

I'm glad an RPG that actually requires something on the part of the player sneaks into the US from time to time.. I think gamers (and most especially reviewers) here are still suckling at the teet of Final Fantasy VII and all the mediocre PS1 RPGs that rode its curtails that expected nothing from the person behind the controller. Anyway, the section above sounds exactly like Princess Crown and the text quoted boils down to the player planting two seeds to restore his health.. that's going into your inventory and dropping two seeds, waiting a few seconds and reaping the reward. It's not as strenuous as that reviewer writes it.
I'm really torn between this and Dawn of Mana this week..
