They took the movies off of YouTube...someone had to have saved them and converted the Flash file. I wish I would have got to see them... :(

Michael Corvin 11-14-07 02:54 PM

Looks like the/a Ghostbusters game will be official next month. No idea if it's from the company that did these:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hl6KvdTOIjM&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hl6KvdTOIjM&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Looks like there will be a version for every console including Wii. Proton waggle sounds fun, but how can you not  over the vids above? No contest.

pinata242 11-14-07 03:02 PM

Yeah, but what about the twinkie?

I can't wait to cross me some streams.

PopcornTreeCt 11-14-07 03:14 PM

Not the same company. That game is dead.

lotsofdvds 11-14-07 03:35 PM

Link?

Michael Corvin 11-14-07 04:22 PM

D'oh. Sorry. Story Link

More info about the game: http://www.darkhorizons.com/news07/071115b.php

They got all the original cast to agree to likenesses and voice work on it. Also has Ramis and Aykroyd doing the writing of the game script.

maingon 11-15-07 10:29 AM

"Vivendi Games and Sony Pictures plan to turn the "Ghostbusters" films into a video game franchise reports Variety.

All four original actors - Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis - will be giving voice and likeness rights for the game, as have supporting actors like William Atherton, Brian Doyle Murray and Annie Potts.

Scribes Aykroyd and Ramis will also pen a story for the dgame that takes place in the early '90s, after "Ghostbusters II," during a new ghoul invasion of New York City.

This also marks the first major video game deal for one of its library titles that Sony Pictures has made. A Fall 2008 release is being targeted by Vivendi's Sierra label."

This sounds awesome, the fact that they are playing it as a actual sequel to the flicks, with ramis and Aykroyd writing it and the orginal cast doing voices, Awesome, cant wait for the game.

MasterofDVD 11-15-07 01:33 PM

Can't fucking wait for this....

No vacuum on top of the Ecto-1 = No Sale

fumanstan 11-15-07 01:57 PM

I just watched Ghostbusters on DVD a couple weeks ago. I love Stay Puft. A boss battle against him would be most excellent :)

metalhead212 11-15-07 01:58 PM

This has the makings of a solid AAA title written all over it. Finally a chance for the children of the 1980's to have something to relate to with the children of the 1990's. Just the other day I asked my nephew if he wanted to watch Ghostbusters two and he had no idea what I was talking about. I almost died.

Haha...you just brought back memories.

MasterofDVD 11-15-07 09:43 PM

So today I was thinking about this game a ton instead of working.

Can you imagine a mode like Terrorist Hunt from the Rainbow Six games where they have so many ghosts on a level that you have to capture? They can have a subway, sewer, street, library and museum level. Add four player co-op to that and I would be in heaven.

This would probably be the first game I but two copies of if it came out on both the Wii and 360. Online co-op on the 360 would be amazing but the Wii controls would blow my mind. I can just imagine flicking the nunchuck to throw out the trap and then steering the ghost over the trap.

I think I have my new most anticipated game of 2008.

Don't ya just love Hollywood?!

nickdawgy 11-16-07 04:53 AM

I'll believe it when I see it, but it sounds cool anyway.

Michael Corvin 11-16-07 06:39 AM

Yeah. I think a third movie would be huge. It's been 15 years and prime for revival.

flashburn 11-16-07 08:07 AM

I'd be excited for this game if this wasn't the company developing it:

Way to rain on our parade.

That is quite the list of shitty games they have made. With a track record like that, it might be best to write this one off already.

Why couldn't they go with ZootFly?

pinata242 11-16-07 08:13 AM

Hey, I rather enjoyed Terminal Velocity back in my LAN days.

That footage is seriously awesome.

jdodd 11-16-07 01:49 PM

So this game supposedly takes place after GB2, but it still has the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man?
