I pretty much bought every upgrade as soon as I had enough money and it was never a problem. I think the only purchase that was slightly delayed was the slam trap. The game gives you plenty of cash as you progress.

thanks. I'll upgrade tonight

Yeah, you should upgrade your weapons as soon as you can. Certain weapons are much more effective on different ghosts, so it's a good idea to always have the most powerful versions.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Realistically, you could not upgrade your weapons once during the game, and still beat it rather handily.

Well I lost $13,000 :(

I upgraded, then I scaned something - thinking that it will save along with the scan - but it didn't. I wish they would fix this bug...

Finished this last night (on Casual cuz I'm a pussy and didn't know what to expect). Got the hang of it pretty quick and am going to try a Professional run now. Finished the first chapter.

Does anyone know if you can continue an existing career and replay all the chapters on Pro to get that achievement? I don't want to start a new save file because I'm so close to 100% artifacts and 100% scans (not to mention $3M in damage). I just couldn't find any indication as to what difficulty a chapter was completed on.

I doubt I'll be able to finish it anyway, but I'm going to give it a good run.

For reference, on Casual I never got the "Revive 20 teammates" achievement. But through Chapter 1 on Professional, I'm already half way there

I just got this for the Wii yesterday in the mail, and not being an avid gamer I have to say it's a lot of fun! My wife isn't too fond of it, she hates games that use the two controllers together to move.

Yeah I'm confused about all this as well, I go back to replay the earlier missions but all of my upgrades and special weapons are gone, however all my career stats are still the same and accumulating while I replay. Such a weird system and that save game warning.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Well, I'm through the first two chapters on pro now. Think I've got it under control for the time being. I have been able to find my missing artifacts, scans, and financial records so it is accumulating in a good way.

The upgrades are gone, as you say, but you re-earn that money anyway and most of the weapons aren't even available yet so it's about a wash. The only problem is the artifacts you already got aren't there to give you more, quick money.

The spirit guide and artifact list are also strange because they'll only show what's possible up to that chapter, nothing beyond. So that's kinda nice on one hand, but confusing at first.

I so hope (if I actually get through all 7 chapters) that this will work and I don't have to do it all again for the other 100 gamerscore. So far it hasn't been too bad.

Finished it on Wii last night. Game and story both were great. Took 7 hours which honestly was plenty long. I got 95% completion so will definitely run through it again at some point to finish the spirit guide.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I haven't even jumped back in single player to finish because coop MP is so much fun. There's something about having three "Live" teamates as opposed to AI ones.

Just wish the Lobby area was better suited to invite friends. You pretty much have to have a "Party" going, then someone setup a custom game and the rest hope they join in before anyone else does. So far the radom games have turned out pretty much fun as well.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Through 4 chapters now on pro and doing just fine. I'm shocked that I'm able to hang with this since I assumed my lack of action/shooter skills would show through.

It does help that I'm familiar with the mechanics now.

Best advice I can give is to keep moving and keep your teammates alive. Slam Dunk trapping is always a good idea.

Oh, and while replaying over my save I have noticed that if I upgraded a weapon in my previous game on chapter 3, when I get to chapter 4 on my current playthrough, it's automatically upgraded without actually doing it. Saved me $18,000 on my Slam Trap.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game. The setting designs are cool. The lines are generally funny. I'm getting the hang of Ghost wrangling. The ghosts are fun....

But the revive your partner shit has HAS GOT TO GO in this game and in fact ALL GAMES! The last time I had to deal with the revive partner shit was Clive Barker's Jericho. And while I loved that game, reviving made the game less fun in general.

I mean I've yet to play a game where this is done right; and like I said, it makes certain sections, like Boss Fights more frustrating than fun. I'm at the Library and I make it all they way to nearly defeating the boss, and 1 or 2 Ghostbusters go done, and things go to shit from there. "MISSION FAILED". :grunt: Dammit!!!

Especially when the other Ghostbusters take their time to revive you. It's like you're sitting there waiting for them, thinking "please hurry, we're about to die here" and then you see it...

The Stone angels during the cemetery part is BULLSHIT. Ray and I are both dead within 10 seconds almost every time. Going for attempt 20 now... I've pretty much blown through the game but this one is just crap. I know what I'm supposed to do, but I get blitzed by two or three from different sides every time.

NM just beat it. I'm over it now lol. My wife is upstairs wondering why I keep screaming "this game is bullshit" though!

This game also has me thinking of other great movies that could be made into games. One that comes to mind for me right away is a Back to the Future game. They could either base it off the movies or do it like the Ghostbusters game and have it be a sequel of sorts.

Finished the game late last night. I definitely enjoyed it, but I'm glad I rented it. I can't see myself playing through it again until it shows up for $20 anyway.

Just realized I didn't even try out the online multiplayer.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I have a question about the control. Does it use the triggers in an analog fashion?

The reason I want to know is because I'm considering getting it on PC, but the Dual Shock 2 adapter I use doesn't work in analog for the triggers. I mean, they work, but they don't send different levels of pressure; it's just pressed or it isn't. In a racing game, for instance, analog triggers are important because they allow you to regulate the amount of gas and brake. If this game works that way, I'll just get it on PS3 at some point.

Not that game is bad (actually liking it pretty much) but on-line coop is far more a blast and you'll get more mileage out of the game with it.

Buzz is right, the campaign is fine, but the multi-player is where Ghostbusters shines. If you skip it, you're passing on the game's brightest aspect.

Yeah, and having real players makes the "Revive me" shit less annoying.
