Any Xbox 360 deals coming up?

I am looking to get an Xbox 360. I am pissed that I just missed some big Toys R Us deal. Does anyone know of anything out or coming out dealwise?

Right now I am leaning towards getting it from Amazon. I pay no shipping or sales tax. And I have a $25 credit from them.

Thanks!

Best Buy is offering Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year Edition and a $20 gift card free with the purchase of the XBOX 360 premium system. I believe Circuit City is offering a free wireless controller with the purchase of the premium system. Last week Target was offering NBA 2K7 with the premium system, I think that is over now, I should have jumped on that. Best Buy seems like the sweetest deal, it is free shipping online too! I'm not to big on Call of Duty, but the $20 gift card could go towards Smackdown vs. Raw 2007. Anyone know of any better deals out there?

Viscera,

Thanks for the info. The thing that hurts those B&M places is sales tax. Which on a $400 item in my state is another $28 dollars. Thats whats nice about Amazon.

Gamestop is doing $80 in credit if you trade in an XBOX towards a 360. If you have an original XBOX.

Future Shop in Canada has the 360 premium with 3 games for $100 off. Looks like it is sold out on the website. I am going to try my luck at the store tomorrow.

I bought my PRO system online for that reason too. NEWEGG.com has FREE 3 day shipping and I paid no sales tax either. I believe they are based in CA so that's why it was no sales tax for me, although the system was dropshipped from the UPS facility (TN) and arrived in good shape with my address label affixed to the retail box. I also had a tracking # and it arrived in 72 hours.

Woohoo. I just picked one up this morning at Wal-Mart. $100 off the premium which comes with GRAW and XBL Arcade. I have to goto work in 30 minutes so I won't have time to set up until I get home.

Can you be a little more specific? Was this on sale for $299? Was it nationwide? I just called my local Walmart and they have no sale like that. Its the regular $399 with a free game.

Thanks!

Forgive me for mentioning this everytime someone asks this, but don't forget the Costco option.

Their bundle saves you $50 or so off list, plus free lifetime price protection and warranty.

I live in Canada. The Premium systems here are $499, but Walmart had it on for $397 with GRAW, XBL Arcade and Far Cry.

Not bad for $450 taxes in.

i'm looking to pick one up soon as well, but all the recent promotions lead me to believe that a price drop is right around the corner, so i'm just going to wait for that..

I think what I am going to do is buy it on Sunday at Circuit City. You get a free wireless controller ($40-50) and can use the $40 off coupon. So not quite as good as the microcenter deal (assuming you would have bought a 2nd controller), but you also don't need to hassle with rebates.

Big Dave, What is the $40 off coupon@ CC?

I bought it at Gamestop for $399 with Ghost Recon and the Gamestop warranty. But, that might work out to a better deal.

I wonder if walmart will match free add-ins like a controller? I'd much rather get it there since their 2 year warranty is about $30.

Do note that at CC, the extended warranty (2 years I believe) is an extra $80. The coupon is also a great way to get the HD-DVD drive cheaper if you want one.
