Trauma Center, though it's really little more than a slicker version of the DS game, makes great use of the technology. But it all depends on if you like that kind of "alternative" game.
I haven't played Rampage or Red Steel but both have been pretty widely panned, although many who have Red Steel say the reports of its demise are greatly exaggerated.

Thanks jdpatri! I have Trauma Center for the DS and had fun with it until it got too difficult to finish. I have yet to play it again, so I'll pass on the Wii version for now. And I just read some Red Steel reviews after I posted and it sounds pretty awful, so I guess I'll skip that too. Madden however sounds interesting. I may rent it first to see if it's worth owning though.
I guess I may just stick with Zelda for now. I have yet to start it so I hope another really good game comes out by the time I finish it.

Eric, Zelda is a great game, but don't sleep on Wii Sports either. Sure if was a freebie, but I think its pretty fun, especially if you can get some multiplayer action going.

For a single player exerience, no. It is not worth $50. It is fun, but short. If you picture yourself having a MP game night with friends it is well worth the $50. Just be sure to play through the story mode FIRST before having them over because you have to unlock every MP minigame this way.I don't get everyone's problem with the outhouse game. Two tries and I was done. The trick for me was NOT aiming at the doors. Go figure. Just whack the bunnies square in the gut no matter how far open the door is. It will still close.

As great as Zelda is, I think Rayman is actually the best launch title. I can't put it down! And Trauma Center is rock solid.
Anyone else have any problem in bowling? It seems that whichever hand I assign the settings to, the ball always rolls in the opposite direction no matter how I throw it. Half the time it just ends up in the gutter. Am I missing something?

I tend to notice that by default people hold the controller at a slight angle, no matter what game they are playing. Just the way the wrist works. You have to physically force yourself to hold it straight. Take a look and see if you fall into that category.

Red Steel is actually quite a good game. People just need to give it more of a chance. Should you pay $50 for it? Not necessarily, but I'm having a lot of fun with it, and don't regret keeping it. The graphics aren't the greatest, and the controls have a learning curve, but I think it's quite fun.

I got Trauma Center on a whim because my friend had been raving about his for the DS, and I had been on a kick of Scrubs and House so it sounded like fun. Wow! Hands down my favorite launch title. So so much fun, and what a bizarre story.

I found the Red Steel controls very easy, personally. I really don't understand the problem, but, I guess that just shows lack of patience...
I want to buy this game or trade for it ASAP.
I got Trauma Center on Saturday, but we beat it on easy already. It was longer than the DS version, but not quite as long as I would have hoped. Still a great game I must say, and one of the only ones my finacee plays frequently.
I also bought the 4X4 monster truck game, that comes with the steering wheel. Even though the wheel is light and feels cheap, it is FANTASTIC. Extremely responsive, and I must say it seems more accurate than any race wheel I've played on a home console.

I'm looking forward to Wario Ware. Elebits does look interesting as well.
I will say that the Marvel Ultimate Alliance was quite interesting on the Wii. I played a lot of the game on the 360. The use of the two controllers and moving them to do different attacks and special moves was pretty decent.
I still prefer it on the 360 as that is what I was used to. But, if I had never played the game before, I probably would have enjoyed it more.
I've heard good things about Super Monkeyball as well and that is on my Christmas list.

haha, well, depending on the shot you are doing (going for a spare) doing a straight shot makes a lot of sense.
You have to understand that it reads the lateral movement of the controller, which controls the spin. You can even do some reverse-english if you know what you are doing.
I find releasing the ball high in the air gives the ball less time to spin as well, so that might help

I made Pro in golf and was at 977 in bowling after bowling a 245 (!) by myself before I jumped into a Zelda marathon.. but once people came over that night I played two 130 games and dropped my score down a bit. I had it coming to me with all the shit-talking I had done up to the game, so yeah.
