Game recommendation needed

Hello all
Just getting a new pc this xmas for my son and trying to find a game for my 9 year old son, some background. Loves runesscape type games, knows more about history and wars then most of my my friends. Loves sim city, zoo keeper, madden 07, sims, etc. Just wondering if you have any recommendaations like age of empire type games. He is pretty smart and figure most things out. Thanks for your help

Civilization IV might be a good choice.

Rollercoaster Tycoon is very good. It is an older title, so it can be a little difficult to find. Some Walmarts still have a few copies left in the $10 bin.

I like Sid Meier's Pirates! It's fun, addictive and on the easy setting, a very easy game to play. There are swordfights, army battles, ship-to-ship battles and rhythm games to mix up the gameplay. I think it's a super game and perfect for a 9 yr old boy. Nothing age-inappropriate.

I'd go with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and expansions. Easier to find and still a solid game. The first is definately a classic though and still good.

Othe sim games that you might cheap at game store or even retail would be SimGolf, Pharaoh and Zeus. I've enjoyed all of these.

Sid Meier's Railoads has been good so far. I haven't played much, but enjoyed what I have played.
