Where you found you Wii code, that's the address book. You can register friends there. If someone you register registers you back, you'll be friends. From the Mii Plaza (Mii Channel), you can send Miis to your friends. I just registered you. If you register me back, you'll see what you can do.

Additionally, in your Mii Plaza, there's a option on the upper-right for the "Mii Parade". If you go in there you can turn your "Travel" settings on. Then each of your Miis can be set to "Mingle" (on the name/color/bday/etc screen). If they mingle, then you don't have to actively send the Miis to friends. They'll just wander and show up in their Parades.

It sounds complicated, but it really isn't. I'm long-winded too :P

So I just punched in your code (5677-8742-0066-2004) now what do I do? Sorry to be such a bother.

Now we wait :) Nintendo's system takes a while for our Wiis to shake hands or whatever. When my name turns from grey to black, it worked. Then we can send messages from the Message Center or Address book. We can send Miis from the Mii Channel, there's an envelope icon that allows for that.

The more friends you register, the more random Miis you'll see in the Parade! Plus, eventually online games will make use of your friend list.

Anyone having any problems getting all of your Mii's to show up on a friends Mii parade? My buddy and me added each other, and we both have 2 Mii's each, and I only see one of his, and he only sees one of mine. Does it take some time for all of them to show up? All of the settings for mingling are turned on and A OK.

Josh H 12-03-06 10:53 PM

It just takes a while for them too show up. I didn't have many the first few days, since it's been growing a lot--up to 72 now. Make sure you have Wiiconnect 24 on, and are putting the Wiii in standby rather than off mode.

You get standby by just using the remote power off button, or just pressing the power on the Wii. Off mode you get by holding the power but on the Wii down (won't work with the remote) until the light turns red.

Honestly, though I'm not sure that makes a lot of difference as it seems to get new ones while you are playing games too as I had mine off last night, then turned it on and played some Zelda and then checked the Mii channel after that and had many more in the parade and 3 or 4 people had sent me arrived in the lobby.

Thanks Josh, I've added your name to the list of contributors on the master list and updated the list and finalized it for tonight.

I think I said I MIGHT lose interest by then. I was planning on buying 3-4 games back then but ended up only buying Trauma Center for the wife because she loved the DS version. Actually she was the one that wanted to go stand in front of Target yesterday morning, I hate the cold and I lost two toes standing out there.

db27 12-04-06 07:53 AM

Got the last few new ones in, please add me! I'm loving this thing, though I should really be doing other things!

Canis Firebrand 12-04-06 07:54 AM

The only way to enter codes is directly into the address book on your console?

It would be so nice if there was a way once you link your nintendo.com account on your console if there would be a section that you could enter them in on the webpage and next time you do an update, it adds them to your address book.

I hope that is a feature that is possible in the future. It is time consuming to enter in codes. I've entered in a couple so far, Uncle Gramps and eatntae. I have to finish adding the rest tonight.

Detective Thorn 12-04-06 05:24 PM

I was busy with some work for school for most of last week, but I finally managed to add everyone in this thread. At least 20 or so names are still grayed out on my list though.

I have already received a few interesting Miis, including Milton from Smackdaddy and Dr. House from Anubis.

I think it is random.

argh923 12-04-06 06:34 PM

Could someone send me over Dr. House?

shumway 12-04-06 07:01 PM

I am now current through Outlaw. It gets faster entering the codes, but still is tedious when you have to enter more than 5.
