Went ahead and put my cable up for $120. I figure what the hell, since I still don't even have my console.

ended up picking up rayman tonight. i don't regret it. I mostly watched the wife play, but it looks like a great game.

there's something about making rabbits dance to "girls just wanna have fun" that is extremely amusing.

I don't get the Component cable thing, you can order them directly from Nintendo for shipping on 11/28, yet people dish out $100 more than they need to.

Weird.

people buying them for that much usually get next day shipping and will receive them fri or saturday. I wouldn't pay that much for the cables, but that's just me. If I were rolling in it, I'd pay extra to get them asap.

I can get them in about a week or so for, I'm sure, less than 40 bucks. People paying 150+ for cables that will be easily available are just impatient.

Anybody else wish that nice blue light stayed on? It's only on for like a second when I turn on my system then it disappears. I'm loving this thing by the way...

Played Wiisports for about an hour and a half tonight. It's a damn fun game, especially the trainings. The homerun derby, the bowling with the increasing number of pins and the golf target game are my favorites so far.

Homerun derby is damn tiring as you have to swing so freakin hard to hit homeruns.

It's a pretty good workout if you play for a while and do a bunch of the more active training games...but of course I'm already sore as hell from my workouts this week after being out of the gym the past three weeks due to traveling and being swamped...so that makes it that much harder.

Anyone try out the WiiSports Age test? Similar to Brain Age, the goal is a 20 year old. Put me at 34 on the first try. Only 3 years off.

I went nuts buying games

Zelda
Excite Truck
Rampage
Need for Speed: Carbon

So I went a tad nuts. I absolutely love the system. I'm kind of out of shape, so playing Wii Sports and boxing, my arms were tired as all hell!

So I need to buy a wireless router. Any advice? Nothing special or fancy, just something that gets the job done (the job being: getting my computer, wii and ds lite all online). Thanks for the recommendations in advance.

So what's the deal with the Mii Parade? Today, Butters (SmackDaddy) appeared in my Mii Plaza, and I assumed that happened because he is on my registered friend list, and he sent me his Mii. However, in the Mii Parade area, there is a character walking around, but I don't know who it is. It appears I have the option to add him to my Mii Plaza, but I was wondering where exactly it came from.

I'm not sure about the Wii, but the DS Lite is pretty picky. Personally, I'd go with a router that supports third-party firmware, and then flash it with dd-wrt

Got my Wii today from Amazon and hooked it up. Didn't even think about loading Zelda as I had a lot of EBay stuff to take care of (non console-related). Even still, my fiancee and I screwed around with the sports for a good hour or more. She really got into the system which is great, because she normally doesn't like gaming.

I keep hooking to left when I'm bowling though....just like real life!

I did have problems trying to get online. I'm getting the 51330 error. I read up and it seems to be related to WEP. Now I know my hex key is entered correctly. I've made a couple changes to my Linksys based on the Nintendo WiFi site recommendations, and hopefully it will work when I try again tomorrow.

All I need now is a second nunchuk and I'm good. I might try to trade one of my classic controllers for one if they prove to be elusive past this week.

I have a Linksys WRT54G and I've had no problems with my computers, DS, Xbox360, and now my Wii.

How long does the battery last in the wiimotes? Some guy at work was telling me it was rediculously short, like 10 hours or so... is this true?

Hey Michael Corvin, how did you access the multiplayer aspect of Rayman? I only played for about 10 minutes, but could not find it.

Your Mii and a couple of others popped into my Mii Plaza. I've got 4 Mii's wandering about the Parade area. If you set your Mii's to mingle, they'll randomly visit other Wii Parade areas.

C'mon, everyone who adds everyone else, send us your Mii's!! I'm trying for an all DVDtalk baseball team!!

It is supposed to be similar to the wavebird which gets about 30+ hours. I've probably clocked about 8 hours so far and I still have a full charge according to the icon.

I have't yet. I'm having friends over Friday to give the system a go, so I'll probably just wait to figure it out then. From what I've read though, most of the games just alternate turns. Supposedly the Plunger Shooter is simultaneous though.

You have to unlock the multiplayer mini-games in Rayman by completing them in singleplayer mode.

I love my wii!!! Well worth waiting in line for 8 hours. I've got Red Steel, Zelda, and Wii Sports on a constant rotation. Though red steel was difficult at first to pick up, it feels so natural now. I remember seeing a picture of a demo device that looks like the Zapper gun, which your wiimote slides into. That's the only thing that would make this game better. That, and better subtitles. Has anyone tried the multiplayer?

Zelda rocks my world! Ogami...whoa...I had to cancel my WoW account because I know Zelda will be taking up my time for the next couple months.

WiiSports has so much more depth than I imagined, and the controls are perfectly responsive, except sometimes I have trouble putting in golf and jabbing in boxing. Also, my bowling ball ALWAYS curves to the left (My fault though: it's just like bowling in real life when I tilt my wrist). The only bad news is I broke my girlfriend's vase doing a tennis backhand....at least it wasn't a TV screen...

Anyone know where to get those sensor bar extension cables or if they're any good? I have a very awkward situation right now with my wii set up in the center of the room (I use a projector), and I keep tripping over the sensor bar cord, ripping it violently from the wall.

Dam it nintendo get the component cables back in stock now. Hey How is mario 64 in 480P. Big obvious difference in pic quality compared to the composite cables?

If nintendo really wanted us to look at crappy blurred out images why not include a RF switch like the NES days? Is that what it was called?

I don't know.. this is my first time really playing it and I've never let a composite cable into my plasma baby (yet). Most N64 games ran at 240p so it looks like they're just allowing the 3D to render in 480i/480p (assumedly based on what your Wii is set too) just like the GameCube discs that had the Zelda 64 games on them. The 2D graphics don't look like they have any filtering applied to them (THANK GOD) but I'll admit it is a littler harder to tell on my HDTV as there's already slight filtering from upscaling it to the TV's native resolution. I thought it looked great though.

We should all start putting the WII ID on your signatures so we can all add each other.

For the MII's let sat I have 4 of you guys added into my list on the WII console even if your system is not on but WII connect24 is I can see them mingling with mine in the room?
