Mine is what I use for most everything: stonecountry.

It's a play on my last name, Stone...kinda like where I'm from is Stone country. It's also a reference to the kind of music I like to write and play, which tends to be a mixture of rock and country for the most part. So instead of rockcountry....again the play on my name...it's stonecountry....cheesy I know, but I just think it sounds cool.

Anyway, my GT is obviously my name here and it's the name I've used since the 1st day I got on the Net many years ago. It's the robot from the 60's tv show Johnny Socko and his Giant Robot. I was always fan of that show and I totally fell in love with the new design of Giantrobo in the 90's animated series.

I think I was in one of the first groups of Live Beta testers.

Looking back, I should have picked something cool to reflect one of my passions (God, Micronauts, Calvin and Hobbes, MST3K, Ultraman, Minnesota).

But for some reason, at that time I thought it would be cool to get my actual name.

I love the Metal Gear series ever since 1 on the Playstation. (I was too young to "get" Metal Gear on the NES). So I just wanted something cool to reflect that.

Mine is totally a random assortment of letters. Contrary to any stories anyone else has made up.

I chose my gametag because I am a big Florida State fan and 1998 was the year I graduated from there.

It is named after my future dream pet: a Chihuaha / Rottweiler cross-bred dog.

Eh... Mine was made up by me, though it does have a basis for it.

I've always been fascinated by wolves, so that created the Canis part of my nickname.

Fire corresponds to the fact that my birth sign is a fire sign. Leo - Sun.
Brand refers to the fact that I have a tattoo.

So, put the three parts together, and you have my gamertag Canis Firebrand.

Drop the xs and just pronounce the middle part. Miyu (mee-ooo).

Yes it comes from the anime Vampire Princess Miyu (hence the crew i game with calling me a princess) and i am also a hippy. Not dirty though, today i smell like a sandalwood/patchouli blend

I was a beta tester, and I picked "The Surgeon." It was the title of some B horror movie I bought when I worked at Best Buy for like 3 bucks, and I couldn't think of anything better. I ended up just cancelling my account recently because I haven't purchased a 360, and I didn't want to keep paying it until I ever do, if I do. Too bad because I kind of liked having that name.

GoLucky was a name I've been using for a while, think Duke Nukem/Quake time frame. It comes from putting the words go and lucky together. Looking back now I wish I'd of changed it to gotlucky as that seems funnier to me.

I know this is an Xbox thread, but I thought it was pretty weird last night when I was testing out Wii Sports and one of the computer controlled tennis players was named Miyu.
