Talked to a guy at Wal-Mart...seems moderately more informed than the usual employee. He seems to think that no Wal-Mart is getting anymore units before Christmas. Is this really the only release of the PS3 we'll see this year?

Some of the games that were recently released on both systems look "better" on the 360..Need for Speed Carbon, Marvel:UA, Tony Hawk..

A friend of my wife's decided to help out a guy she works with so she stood in line too. He got a system, she got a raincheck, but the best part was the prick that was #1 in line. She said he was being a real ass, basically he thought since he was the first guy in line, he was in charge.

He gets to the register and his card was declined. No PS3 for him. :)

Brilliant... I'm now going through eBay looking for units with no reserve and low bids. Maybe I too can get a PS3 for < $50!! ;)

That's most disappointing. Japanese Mech games like this is the only reason I miss having any kind of Sony system and the reason I would even consider buying a PS3. :( But if this is typical of the Mech games they're going to be releasing... but then again, the Gundam games were never all that great on PS1 or PS2...

WOW, the prices on Ebay are going down mighty quickly this morning! Damn shame if you ask me! Why don't people want to pay $2500 for a $600 system anymore? Isn't that a bargain or are people finally realizing this is complete madness?

Not sure if you aware of this, but the Xbox360 game Lost Planet has some mech action in it. The final game isn't out to January, but the demo is amazing, so I am sure the full game will be just as good if not better.

It's insane. Some people are buying them at like $2100 thinking they can flip it back on eBay for more. How? There were over 35,000 systems on eBay at one point last night (haven't checked since then). Over 500+ pages of them. There is no way in hell that all of those are gonna go for the prices people are expecting

I doubt it was "System of a Down". They are on hiatus, and essentially have broken up. It probably was a guy from the band and used the name since it's sort of recognizable.

Those must be the gold plated editions. :lol:
