Ummm, why would the FBI investigate that? That's usually up to the Attorney General and the like to investigate. Again, I'm not saying it didn't happen, but this really doesn't make sense. The FBI doesn't waste their time on shit like this.

A tru by me is selling them at midnight. This afternoon I'm going to drive by, if there's a line I'm not even going to bother. If it doesn't look bad I'll show up around 11 to try to get one. Around here though I'm sure there will be a big line. Oh well, I have guitar hero 2 to occupy my time for a couple weeks.

That is EXACTLY what I thought as well.

Well, I made the rounds of the closest retailers that will have Wii's. I don't think picking one up will be a problem.

Wal-Mart=60
Target=30
Best Buy=25
Circuit City=20-25

I already picked up Monkey Ball w/ $5 coupon at Best Buy. I'm going to probably hit Target in the AM so I can take advantage of the 10% off and $20 gift card deal. If not, I'll head across the street to Wal-Mart.

I plan on picking up the console, extra controller set and probably Zelda (it will be my first ever Zelda game believe it or not!).

There were 3 people already camped out at Best Buy, I don't even think they knew they could already pick up the games they might want.

I guess I know where I need to go.

"The Wiis seem to be a non-issue," said Jim Stich, manager of the Meijer store at 4500 S. Hurstbourne Parkway. "I haven't taken one phone call about the Wiis."

Went to target and best buy. Best buy had one guy target and circuit city had zero. The guy at best buy had a tent and all alone. I think he was over doing it.

Best buy also had a wii launch guide with some coupons in it. Don't remember all, one was 5 dollars off monkey ball and the other free zelda guide with purchase of zelda and excite truck.

Called my local Toys r Us and the guy said he knew how many Wii's they'd get, but as store policy, he couldn't say or he'd lose his job.
Is this for real??

A lot of stores have spouted that. It's idiodic. They should just announce it so they don't get more campers than systems to avert problems.

I forgot you are from here too. I had thought about Meijer, but was thinking about Wal-Mart because I didn't want to chance a raffle. Maybe I'll see you up there?

No wonder no one is interested in his store. They got 7 and held the raffle yesterday. So who would be interested in going somewhere you have zero chance of scoring one? What a moron.

What a douchebag. We originally were thinking about the Wal-Mart in Fern Creek so I guess we will go back to Plan A. I guess I need to quit being lazy and call around.

Looks like we might be screwed I called Hurstbourne, Fern Creek & Bashford and all were getting 20 and they all said there were 50 people in line. First come first serve, no raffles.

The no raffle thing bugs me. So it boils down to people without jobs and/or family obligations are the only people that can get a system on launch.

Post if you call a few.

I have called every Wal-Mart in the phone book. Looks like they are out.

Wal-Mart
Valley Station - 22
Hurstbourne -20
Lagrange -20
Okalona -20
Bashford - 20
Cedar Springs -20
Diann Marie Rd -20
Outer Loop -20
Standiford Plaza - 29

Meijer
Preston Hwy - 7
Dixie - 7
Towne Center - 7
Hurstbourne - 7

And all had at least 10 more people in line than systems they have for sale. Not looking good. I'm going to head out and scope out some Targets and Kmarts here in a bit.

Shit!

The TRU on Outer Loop say they aren't getting any extra.

Wow. I went by 3 shopping centers and a few Walmarts today looking for a 360, some
stuff for it, as well as items to feed my Star Wars habit and the only store I saw that
had anyone waiting for the Wii was the Circuit City in Nashua NH (which had 2 people,
a guy and his girlfriend, for the 40 units they said they had). I even joked with the
Salvation Army woman out front of one of the Walmarts asking her how long she'd
been there waiting for the Wii.

Demon, are you up for camping out tonight? Want a line buddy? Looks like Target is the place to hit. The rumored numbers online seem pretty close to what the CSRs are telling me they have in stock. Also appears as if all but Dixie Hwy only have a dozen or less people in line.

I didn't really want to camp, but it's looking like it is the only option at this point.

If you want to hit somewhere together, email me at twilightzonemailbox @ yahoo.com in the next few minutes and I can shoot you my cell number and we can hook up.

sorry Michael, we left to go eat at TX Roadhouse. we are going to check out the target and sears on outer loop when we leave here. I don't think (for us) its worth it to camp out. I love my warm bed too much.
