Ack, sorry haven't been checking the thread. I'll get invites to you guys as soon as I get off work tonight. Or Liver&Onions should be able to do it as well, since I made him the VP. Also, you may be able to join already since it's public, but I'm not entirely sure. No entrance fee, btw.

I'm getting close to breaking the champion mark. I just need 105 more points to unlock that extremely quick, lucrative race. Then I'll upgrade our crib if possible.

How do you actually search for clubs or are they invite only?

The invite system blows in Test Drive. I can only invite my friends, so I sent you 2 guys a FR.

I just picked this game up tonight. I love it! I currently suck, but it sure is a lot of fun! I downloaded two free cars from Live - do they just show up in the respective dealerships?

Are the other free downloads worth the time/space?

I'm going to be picking this game up tonight based on this thread. One quick question...does this game have a replay feature? I love NFS:Most Wanted but it blew my mind that it didn't have a replay feature.

I just recently got the game, too. There's supposedly another patch out mid-november to add new cars. I'm currently trying to complete the "discover every road" quest to get a free house. the online trade system is currently disabled so can't get the achivement points for that also.

I got the game recently. I'd like to trade codes with someone.

Flay too bad you don't have it any more. I stumbled onto your club early on and I spent the money on buying a faster car.

This is my favorite racing game on this console so far. I was never a big fan of the whole "Kudos" thing on PGR3 (I'd rather just race please) and Need for Speed was OK but was a bit too frustrating and cheesy.

The cons for this game are pretty short: occasional graphical pop-up, tuning up a car you're not driving is not possible, CPU cars don't seem to react or hit regular non-player cars, the island all looks the same, and the house/clothing stuff isn't fleshed out enough.

Pros are pretty lengthy: the price ($40 or less) is awesome. The racing is tight, a great fit between arcade racing and simulation, more responsive than NFS:MW and less frustrating than PGR3. The island is gigantic. Races that take an hour aren't my cup of tea but to have that in there as an option is really cool. A lot of cars and bikes to try out. Customization is cool but it doesn't go as far as NFS. I also like that it's completely delocalized: I wish more games let me pick a different language for dialogue and menus: the German voice actress is not as irritating as her American counterpart.

For those of you not liking the way the bikes control, play with the ride assist feature: hit the left D-pad button while riding. I have mine set on "Sport" ... there's also "Hypersport" and "Off".

Does the DVD Talk Club still exist? I'd like to get some of the Club Race achievements.

And yes, the game does have replay.

The easiest way to make money is to do the Alfa-Romeo only race. If you have the Alfa Romeo Competizione (which you get after beating Island Tour IIRC) it takes almost no work to get $75,000 each time. At lower levels, the Mercedes-only race for $40,000 is good if you've got a customized CLS, and at the very beginning there's a $10,000 race (in the north maybe?) that allows a ton of shortcuts.

I think I made L&O the Pres when I moved on to another game, so the DVD Talk club may still exist.

You are correct Bus. It really is a kick ass racing game. Easily the best I've played on the 360 so far.

I seriously gonna sell this game now

im in the club (if it is still there). i played for a few minutes last week, and im pretty sure i saw it. I'll pop it in tomorrow and see if I can add you guys to the club. I think you have to be the pres, but if the current one quit, it might have defaulted to me.

It still shows Flay/AwfullyGood as the Pres. Since neither him nor L&O are active in the game, I decided to form a club. The name isn't very creative, but I called it the Baby Seal Club. I got us into the slightly nicer-looking club. My Gamertag is Chiwotweiler, if you'd like to join the club that's fine.

Do the cars control better in the game than in the demo? They sucked in the demo. Couldn't take a turn at any decent speed without wrecking.
