I am using an older linksys WRT54G with the the MN740 adapter. I have been using them for about 3 years with no problems. I don't know if you can still find the MN 740 but its drawback is it only supports WEP security.

I have a linkys wireless (WRT54G) router, and the MS Wireless Network adapter. So far it's been working great (knock on wood). The MS adapter is costly, but it integreates well with the console from an aesthetic perspective.

I have a Linsys WRT54G, and the MS Wireless adapter. Set up was super simple, easier than with my old Xbox and Linksys game adapter. I got it free thanks to McDonald bucks.
I need to move my router though as my signal sucks. I usually have 1 red or 2 orange bars and on a rare times get 3 green, but never 4 green. The router is only about 15 feet away and one internal wall between the two and the controller is the only wireless in device in constant use - our 2.4 phone does nothing to the signal. The router is low in the room so I am going to get a shelf to put it up higher to try that. If that does not work I may try to "upgrade" my router as mentioned in the Tech Talk area.

Using the MS wireless adapter for the 360 because I got a great deal on it quite a bit back (it was $49.99 at Kmart and I had a $10 off $50 coupon at the time so made it $39.99, when the MSRP was $99) and it seems to work very well.
I had the MN740 for my first Xbox and it worked very well also... I would have used it for the 360 had I not found such a killer deal on the MS 360 adapter...
Anyway, no complaints for either one from me.

through saturday best buy has the linksys gaming adapter on sale for 50 bucks. picked it up this week and it works great.
other thing to think about is if you get the official xbox adapter you can only use it with the 360. if you get a third party adapter like a linksys or such, you can hook it up to a hub for a couple of bucks and use it with all of your consoles at the same time !!!
