Organizing DS/GBA games

I could have sworn that I'd seen a "portfolio" type organizer for GBA games at some point...something roughly day-planner size with clear plastic "pages".

Does such a thing exist, or did somebody convert something else to suit the purpose?

Has anybody done anything clever that they care to share? I was thinking about one of those baseball card things...or maybe something for hot wheels/micro machines.

Amazing that I can't find a product that suits me...I'm fairly google-savvy.

I got mine at Target, and it's a carrying case the size of a purse that holds like 20 games, charger, and the unit itself. It's pretty nifty.

A purse might work for you, but you're a girl. (Right?)

I got a couple of these Case Logic SD photography card cases at Sears for $3.99. The price is right and they hold the games fine, unfortunately the case itself is a bit too thin and it makes it hard to close - you have to bend the cardboard a lot so make the case a bit fatter and have it close without strain.

My idea all along was to find sheets meant for slides and use that. And what do you know. At about fifty cents at your local photography store these are a steal. But... the games slide out of them way too easily. I'm sure there's a way to make the pocket less slippery but this won't work out of the box.

I need something that holds more than 20 games. Even with 20 games, most of the stuff I find is like 8 DS games and 12 GBA games.

Bus,

You rock...and I'm glad I'm not alone on this. I'd actually checked the photography sections at a few other places for SD holders etc. and had no luck finding anything suitable.

DS games aren't much of a problem for me since I generally keep them in their cases. GBA games, however, are getting bothersome because I have a ton of them and I have to search through the pile of them every time I want to play a game.

Right now I have an SP case that holds the Lite nicely along with 5-6 games, which is fine for the road. What I'm looking for is something around the house to keep the GBA games semi-organized and protected.

Don't know if this will work from ebay...

But I think this is sort of what I remember seeing back in the day.

If you search on Go Nintendo, there's a SLEW of various "Poor Man's DS Cases" using stuff like mint tins, etc.

Thanks Pix. I especially liked the Altoids gum tin...and I even had one around the house...for some reason. Looked at the camera section in Wally World last night and found a couple of those little SD card wallets. I found a Targus brand one for $2.99 that looks pretty sharp and holds 10 DS game (8 in the pockets and 2 loose. The had another one that looked like the one Bus posted, but it held fewer and cost more. I've been using a long GBA case that I found at Big Lots for $3.99 for my Lite, and the wallet fits in there along with 4 GBA games. It's pretty slick for $7.

As for the GBA organizer, I'm still working it out.

A little while back, WalMart had these on clearance, around $4.00. They hold 32 games.

I'd like to find one of those plastic cases that holds 3-4 Ds games and 3 GBA games instead of having to try and get it from someone in Hong Kong off of ebay

I wish somebody would make a dvd tower-like rack but one that was customized to the size of the ds cases. Maybe it would hold like 15 or 20 games. Does anybody know if this exists?

Got it sorted out...

Found a damn near perfect case at Circuit City the other day. It's a "dual folio" something or other and it holds the DS, 9 DS games and 9 GBA games in their own little mesh slots. Manufacturer seems to be "score" and it's $9.96 at CC.

Mine is all black, but otherwise, looks like this:

Wish I could find a clearer picture of the inside to show how the games look inside, but it's really professional looking. The open "page" on the right holds 3 DS games over 3 GBA games, and the other zipper pocket has two more identical pages for a total of 9 DS and 9 GBA games. The Lite is well protected and the pocket on the far left holds the power pack, headphones, whatever.

As for storing GBA games at home, I realized my kid had a little set of plastic drawers and I confiscated them for GBA storage. Each drawer holds about 10 games laying flat on their backs. As an added bonus, it has a little flip top that holds his old SP perfectly.
