I just found some screenshots of Call of Duty 3 for each of the next-gen systems.

The PS3 screens look just slighty better than the 360. The smoke effects look better on PS3. The Wii screens look like a PS2 game. I know that the Wii doesn't have nearly the horsepower of the other 2 systems, but still I thought the graphics would be better than that.

Neither the PS3 or 360 look so good. The Wii looked better than you made it sound, and of course the controller would make it more fun.

As someone on that site said, if it's not Infinity Ward, it's not Call of Duty 3.

It's not Infinity Ward? Who the crap's making it? And why not the original company?

I can't remember who's doing this one, it might be Pandemic. From what I heard, Infinity Ward didn't want to do another COD so soon, but there was a lot of pressure to get one out, so they farmed it out to another company, but they still retain the rights for any future sequels.

I heard the reason the ps3 shots don't look to hot is that there scaled back so as to be identical to the 360 version. They should be out put at 1080p but are instead are running at 1080i.

PS3 and 360 screens are comparable and both look good. But then again there's no side by side of the same shots so it's hard to say. I couldn't tell if the Wii screens looked good because the pics had a couple dorks making silly gestures...

I have a question about these WWII games: Granted, I haven't played them all, but how come we don't fight with the Japanese in these games? I realize Killing Nazis is -always- ok with people but still. Could we see some of this in CoD3

Robo: Medal of Honor Rising Sun is specifically about the Japanese front.

Mok: Almost every game that comes out for the 360 and PS3 at the same time will be made for the 360, and then ported over to the PS3. So the advantage of buying the PS3 version is basically nil. Also, most native PS3 games will be made at 720p because it's much harder to render the stuff they're putting in at 1080i or 1080p. It takes a lot more processor power to do it at resolutions higher than 720p. I guess you can say that 720p is the video gaming "sweet spot." The PS3 itself will scale it up to 1080i or 1080p. Expect very very few PS3 games to be natively 1080p.

Maybe my standards are pretty high, but look at those character models. They're awful. COD2 looks better. I won't be buying this, anyway, because COD2 was enough for me.

Either your standards are pretty high or your eyes are pretty bad.. I think it looks awesome and will definately be picking it up at launch. COD2 has easily been the best game with most replay value for me on the 360.

My eyes are just fine, thank you. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I'm wrong. Look at games like Assassin's Creed or Gears of War and then those screenshots and you'll see those character models look like they were made for the original Xbox.

I'm with Suprmallet. I think the character models are laughable.

That looks pretty damn good to me! My fingers are still aching from trying to beat Veteran COD2 though.

I don't know about you, but the graphics in COD3 don't look significantly better than COD2, and every other game, one upcoming for the 360, the rest already out, look way better. Maybe it's just me, though.

It's not just you. I think COD3 looks really bad. It looks like a really sharp PS2 game.
