Street Fighter II - Hyper Fighting on XBOX Live Arcade
 

What a tease! I got all excited when it showed up in the marketplace under newly released, but just saw it has a theme and 3 picture packs to download. Does this mean the game is right around the corner?

It should be out soon, but the way XBLA has been handled I won't get my hopes up. This and Texas Hold'em were promised earlier this year. At least we are hearing about Street Fighter, but it almost like Texas Hold'em doesn't exist anymore.
This weeks Major Nelson will hopefully feature someone from XBLA who will answer some questions people have had about the mystery of XBLA releases.

Supposedly June 28th for SF2.

I just picked up the Alpha collection for PS2, but I'd still buy this on the Marketplace.

2 more weeks of COD before I realize that I wasn't really all that good at Street Fighter.

I'm looking forward to being able to download it, although I'm not a big fan of fighting games. I used to play this a bit as a kid.

I guess this comes out tomorrow, sorry if my thread title sounded like it was already out. Anyone know how many points this baby is going to cost? And will people complain if I'm Zangief?

Yeah, I am a bit frustrated as well. Last I saw the date was June 30th but still no sign of it yet. This blows

The link was on CheapAssGamer somewhere. I think there was a July release date in Australia....but that could just be rumor also, who knows.

I hate this thread. Everytime i see it bumped i keep getting excited that SF2 was posted. Sigh.

I am waiting for this game as well. Thankfully my 360 is being repaired right now, or I would feel worse.

Look at the release dates though they are kind of discouraging.

SF2, Cloning Clyde, and Frogger all say summer 2006 which could mean anything.

Lumines Live is the only one that has anencouraging release date July 2006.

I'd be surprised if it was that low.

So with a firm date, it looks like they fixed the lag issues? Here's hoping.

Rabbit77, lag is going to vary depending on what kind of connection you and your opponent have. I have played SF Anniversary Edition on XBL and some games are downright horrible(even on "GOOD" connections) and of course I have played some where the connection is amazing with no lag at all.

So here's to hoping! :)

I scratched off the MS Points card today due to the news of SF2s actual date. I ended up scratching off the freakin #s! So i called MS and they couldnt use the serial # next to the #s (why even have it there?), so they said to call where i bought it from and try to exchange it. So i called outpost, the guy was very cool about it and said no problem for an return, since they dont have any in stock to do an exchange. Oh well, ill go ebay this time and save myself the hassle.

When you get those cards, be sure to scratch off the cover lightly. I've used two and had no problem. But if you're scratching it like you're trying to rub through to the other side, then yeah, you're going to rub off the numbers.

Speaking of those marketplace cards.....
 

All this talk about the marketplace prepaid cards reminded me of something. Does everyone here know that amazon.com has finally got rid of Toys R Us as an affilate? That means now when you buy games or game related items (like the cards) you are buying them directly from amazon now, which means no tax (depending on where you live) and no shipping charges (if the order is over 25.00.) Everyone probally alreally knows this, but just in case there are a few that do not.
