How much do you get for trading in Hitman: Blood Money

How much are you getting in store credit for trading in Hitman: Blood money at EB Games and Gamestop? And for future reference is there anywhere I can look on their sites to find out what games are worth?

There is a wonderful little invention called a telephone.

Invest in one of those and use it to call your local EB Games or Gamestop.

MAJOR SHOCKER ALERT: They will tell you right then and there how much trade in credit you will get.

This method is far easier, quicker, and more reliable than asking on an internet forum.

Actually, the ones around me won't give prices over the phone.. So your sarcastic reply wouldn't apply to me not sure about the OP though....

Your best bet OP would be to trade the game on here..

They won't tell me over the phone either. They want to see the game. But thanks for being so helpful.

Are you wanting to get another game?? If so.. Like I said, the B/S/T forum (sub forum of this forum) is your best bet. Instead of getting ripped off and getting like $25-$35 of in store credit in which you can put towards another $55 used game you can simply trade it to someone else for something you want..

wft do they think you could have possibly done to the game in the few weeks it's been out. Why do they need to see the game? Either the game is in playing condition and they give you the credit for it, or it's in bad condition and they tell you that they can't take it. There is no middle ground based on condition. They are just being lazy and don't want to look it up (my Gamestop has no problem doing phone lookups for me).

These Gamestop/Ebgames guys are hilarious sometimes. Practically whipping out a microscope to check for scratches when you trade a game in, and yet they have no problem selling you a game that looks like someone scrubbed it with a Brillo pad.

Is it the 360 version? I'd be interested in trading for it if it is.

I was shocked yesterday when EB wouldn't quote me a trade in price on the phone. The guy was a real ass and said nobody in the EB/Gamestop program would quote me a price, I called the Gamestop across the street from them, got the quote, and called him back and told him what I was quoted. That really pissed me off, he wouldn't quote me the price, but did try to sell me on how outstanding their trade in values are. The quote I got was for Gun 360, all of 10 bucks. Anyways, you would probably have a lot of luck in the forum, I know a ton of people (including myself) are looking for Hitman.

Here is a strange one:
I bought Halo when it first came out. I was a bit anal so I opened it in the store just to look for any visual flaws in the DVD.
On a whim, I asked the cashier what could I get for a trade?
Believe it or not, It automatically lost 10.00 in value and it wasn't even played.

The person told me that their bread and butter was in game trades and not selling new.

Which is quite ironic, since my local Gamestop opens all of their "new" games, and places the case on the shelf and the game in a plastic sleeve.

I went into my local Gamestop to pickup Hitman for the 360. The clerk says sure we got one copy left. So he's going into the back to get a new copy. Lo and behold he pulls a copy from the used draw and says let me get a case for you.

I look at him an saids " This is a open copy? Do I get any cash off for buying a used copy?"

He says " No, because it was only used in the store."

I won't go any further then to say I said no way and walk out feeling good that I didn't go for that bullshit. So it's ok if they open a game and sale it to at full price.

I was in my local gamestop with a buddy of mine who was purchasing GTA: Vice City. Of course, they handed him one that had been opened and re-wrapped. I joked to him - "why don't you ask them for a new one? They open them and then re-seal them." They GS people got really pissed off and defensive and told my friend that he could buy it somewhere else (despite the fact that I was the one who was pissing them off). Needless to say, I now walk the extra 5 minutes to the EB Games.

$40 credit for a used game is damn good for gamestop/EB. How much would you expect to get? If you sell it for $40, they sell it for $45, they're only making $5. Kind of like a car, once it's registered, it can't be sold as "new" anymore and it's marked down. Usually they only give $35 credit on newly-released used games.

i have a friend with shitty credit and he bought a car, but the loan wasnt approved, so they took it back a week later. He really wanted the car, so he borrowed the cash from his dad, went in and bought the same car back for $3000 less (and now no outrageous interest) a few days later.

and every GS/EB around here has lways refused to quote trade-in prices over the phone. About the condition of the games, Gamecrazy will buy a scratched disc and sometimes take $1.99 off (if the guy's a dick)and resurface it right there.

Working at Gamestop, what do you expect us to do? Put all of our live games on the floor so they all get stolen? Or perhaps not display any games at all, so no customers can browse anything? So what if the game has been put into a plastic bag and locked up, all we did is save you the trouble of cutting it open. Go ahead and walk to EB Games, they are all Gamestop now and do everything the same

Sorry to rant, but it just pisses me off when people complain about nothing and act all high and mighty.

I disagree with this because, If I'm paying for a new game, it should be unopened and when I bought top spin 2 i caved and got the last one, which was opened and when I got home I noticed they put 3 barcode/price stickers on the actual artwork itself, not the plastic case, which is bad enough since I like to keep my games nice. I've also seen them sell the opened one, then open a new one and put the case on the shelf, why, I have no idea.

Well, if they are selling the opened one, then putting another one on the shelf, that IS stupid. Also, There should'nt be anything on the discs/case like barcodes, we literally open them, put them in a bag, lock them up. They should never be touched until its the last copy to be sold. Also, if someone asks nicely, or I think I should, i give them the opened/shopworn discount of 10%.

Did Gamestop buy EB games or is it the other way around? Around here they said they're going to call them EB-Gamestop.

Except, of course, when the workers there take them home and try them out.

Wow... BestBuy/CircuitCity/Target/Walmart manage to display them without having them be stolen... maybe invest in a little LP?

Or they can do like my local EB and keep all the new shit behind the counter and have only the used/older game cases on the racks around the store, they keep all those disks in sleeves.

Gamestop/EB is a prime example of the stupidity of the American consumer.

What's worse is how these stores have managed to become more annoying and dirtier year by year.

I am not concerned if they can display them without them being stolen, and as posted above best buy and others manage to do it. for me it comes down to the fact that i can get the same item still sealed at another store so I just decide not to buy an opened copy for full price. I dont make a big deal about it, I just tell the guy i am not interested in an opened copy, sometimes they argue with me about it being the same as new and that annoys me.

Well, I'm sorry everyones Gmestop experiences have been so bad. My store is hands down better than any Best Buy/WalMart/Circuit City, it's not even a contest between those crappy places. I wouldnt step foot in a Best Buy, and WalMart only has good beef jerky prices

At least at my store, we have customer service and will recommend games and not sell people crap like the XMen 3 game. Plus, we usually get games early, allow trade-ins to pay off games, and sell cheaper used games/DVDs...you can't beat that. Come out to San Diego and shop at my Gamestop and then try to tell me WalMart is good...lol.

I'm done hijacking this poor guys Hitman thread...time to drop it.

Not trying to sound like a jack ass but if you read my post, I opened the game right there to check for any flaws. I didn't even leave the store, I inquired on how much I would get if I traded it in right than and there and it automatically lost 10.00.
