Well, I managed to get Frank The Pimp & Tour Guide (Thanks metalhead!), and also knocked out Strike & Karate Champ. I'm at 800 points, and I plan on making a run at the 'kill 53,000 zombies, 24 hours indoors, and 24 hours outdoors. After that, I'm gonna play one more time from the beginning and try to get the Otis calls, complete notebook, and escort 50 survivors total. If that all goes well, I may still have the desire to play infinity for 5/7 days.
Here are the achievements that I still need:
Zombie Genocider
TYPE: 1 Play REQ: Defeat at least 53,594 zombies.
20
Full Set
Collect all portraits in the NOTEBOOK.
20
Saint
Get at least 50 survivors out of the mall.
20
PP Collector
Photograph all PP Stickers.
20
Transmissionary
Answer all calls from Otis.
20
Indoorsman
Spend at least 24 hours indoors.
20
Outdoorsman
Spend at least 24 hours outdoors.
20
Clothes Horse
Change into all costumes available in the mall.
20
5 Day Survivor
Survive for at least 5 days.
20
7 Day Survivor
Survive for at least 7 days.
20
I'm not worried about the PP stickers & all of the clothing. Seems too hard & time consuming.

The only real trouble I had with the PP achievement, which ultimately made me sick to my stomach and give up, was the PP stickers that had to be taken of the clock tower. It is ridiculously "glitched" and trying to get those three stickers will ultimately have you throwing your controller through the T.V. unless you get lucky.
I can't believe he got Frank the Pimp and Tour Guide without the mega blaster. You must have some serious patientce and or skills. Good looking though!

I may try the PP & clothes, mainly because I'm getting close to the 1000/1000. I don't know why, but I've had this game since it came out, and only recently have I been addicted to it. I can't quit playing the damn thing.

Next up, 24 in & 24 out, then Genocider so I can finally see what all the hype is with the MegaBlaster.

I think that's the only Otis I missed

There was also [supposedly] a glitch that allowed you to get them rather easy. IIRC, you get the game going and head up to the helipad and hang out for the Outdoorsman, head inside and the Indoorsman unlocks right away. I didn't get it to work, but it's worth a shot. Do a search for it for the exact method. It may save you some time if you can get it to work.

It takes one slot, freeing up room for you to hold your food and other weapons you will need for the missions.
They're more fun as well.

Yeah I agree, the chainsaws are a lot more fun and they cover a lot more area when swinging them around. You can easily kill five or six guys in one swing where you have to shoot one at a time with the blaster, but for inventory efficiency I go with the mega blaster. For fun, the chain saws hands down.

Any advice on how best to collect the bombs from the maintenance tunnels? I'm on my fifth attempt, and I can't seem to get more than a single bomb before the zombies overwhelm me on the motorcycle. Once I lose that, I can't see shit in the tunnels.

I don't recall exactly how I did it but I don't remember it taking more than two tries. You can leave the tunnels, IIRC, and cut through the mall where zombies are a little less overwhelming.

This was the first game I bought when I got my 360 in Jan. '07. Pretty much just sat on my shelf for well over a year before I started playing in earnest a couple of weeks ago. Having a great time with it so far. Playing through the missions only right now, then will tackle the achievements and saving the humans on my next go round.

Head to the bomb in the north plaza (#1) because it's the most 'out-of-the-way' and your car is in good shape. Try to NOT hit the co2 tanks when driving through the tunnels.
After that one, get the one straight down on the map (below the entrance plaza) (#2) . At this time, I drive back up under paradise plaza and go inside the mall for a second, then back into the tunnel for a new white car.
This is where you have to be careful with your driving...head to the bomb under Al Fresca (#3), then stay along the west side and get the one under wonderland (#4). If your car is smoking, go into wondeland and walk through wonderland, into north, and go through the grocery store to get to the tunnel for (#5). If your car was ok, head up under north plaza for #5.
Either way, get in the truck under north, and head to the barricade (leading to leisure park, where you get to the red car), hop out & you're done.
ALSO, RIGHT AFTER YOU DO THE BOMB MISSION, GO BACK INTO THE TUNNELS AND GO TO THE MAINTENANCE ROOM (WHERE YOU GOT THE KEY) FOR

Thanks for the tips everyone.
I managed to get the fifth bomb this time by making my way through the mall (and saving in the restrooms I passed), but f'ing Carlito showed up just as I got the fifth one and blew me up with a bomb. Sigh. I imagine I'm supposed to jump back into the stairway and field Otis's call.

Well, since I'm on vacation, I decided to give the old survival mode a run. 3 days, 4 hours, and the friggin fourth appearance of Carlito did me in, bastard. I think that once you kill someone, they should stay dead. He kept shooting me in the Entrance Plaza, which stunned me, and the zombies would attack. I had 2 OJ's & a coffee creamer that I never got to use, and I was armed with 2 3-book chainsaws. I don't know if I can bring myself to try this again because it took me about 7 hours of my life to fail.

Re: Dead Rising for 360?
Here's a thread from the dead, fittingly.
I'm getting pissed off, but I think that's because I don't understand what I'm doing.
I'm following Brad to where Dr. Barnard (?) has locked himself in his shop and I'm supposed to get back to the security room, I guess. Only, near as I can tell, I have to go through a hallway full of zombies and I think the damn door at the end is welded shut anyway. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have 2 frat boys, a lame childless mother, and a fat dude I'm responsible for but won't do anything to fight in this hallway. I can only take 4 items because I can't carry a 5th because I have to carry Leah. What am I missing here?
While I'm heading that way, Otis tells me there's something funny going on at some ride at Wonderland plaza, but that's backtracking.
This trial and error stuff is getting old, especially with the lack of proper saving, ability to move quickly, and companions that are mildly useful. Oh, and I don't understand why a dumbbell becomes useless for bashing in skulls after about 30 hits.
Tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can find the enjoyment I know is in this game!
