The one thing that gets on my nerves about this game is how vague they are about telling you what you have to do on a certain mission. I know what the developers were trying to do, but most of the time I'm running around just wasting time.

My copy also locked up on the loading scene from the chopper, but only after I restarted and pressed start to skip the cutscene again.

Should I get a warranty through MS or take Best Buy up on their $50 for 2 years warranty? I still have 29 days to decide.

I would take the MS warranty .. not sure if there would be any difference in service, but I guess I feel a little better knowing it is going to MS.

I don't consider myself spoiled - I consider myself without a ton of free time to game. I just got the game yesterday and defeated Carlito. As Im searching for a save spot, I get jumped by 30 zombies and die. Now I gotta do that whole f'ing battle over with that sumanabitch! WTF? Why can't I just save and move on Capcom? IMO, the save system is nothing more than an artificial way to extend the playability of the game.

I think once everyone discovers where all the save spots are in the game you will know where to go to save. There are 2 bathrooms I currently use to save my games when am in trouble or need to stop a game.

Microsoft. Don't bother with BB's.

I think that's the whole point of the save system. They want you to play it over and over. If you're getting your ass kicked early, run around and level up, ignoring scoops and cases. When you die, start over and you retain your stats so you can make it through the tougher parts.

I'm still somewhat disappointed with the game, but I'm liking it a bit more than I did the first night.

Same here on my second "restart", the loading screen stayed loading. A restart fixed it with no problems.

So, what are everyone's highest scoring photos so far? I was pumped with my first 1000 pointer (the gas station), then I nailed a 6000+ point with the photographer dude early on.

I just now noticed the posts correcting on pressing Y to get people to follow me. I goofed when I posted but the survivors that had me all ticked off apparently take more thab just a simple button press to save so it wouldn't of helped me anyway.

I'm pretty far in the game and I've not been able to save anyone other than the first 2 people and those required to progress the story. Does setting a way point for the survivors work better than just having them follow or is it just as tough?

OK, I lied. I tried to get back into this game today and I'm just not having any fun with it. Too annoying and I think I'm going to kill someone if Otis doesn't shut the fuck up.

I've got 20,000 from a couple photos. Both were "drama" photos, of people hugging.

Sounds like this game is turning out to be a "love it" or "hate it" affair with no middle ground.

That's the feeling I'm getting as well, and unfortunately I fall into the latter camp. I tried and tried, but I just couldn't get into the game at all. There were just too many little things that really turned me off of the game completely.

So I traded it in yesterday along with a few other games and picked up the wireless adapter and Battlefield Modern Combat. Hopefully with my Live back up and running I'll be able to download demos and avoid buying games on pure hype.

Mine played fine the first 2 nights, but then last night it stopped at the "loading content" screen and I had to shut off the console. The second attempt at loading the game got me to the game, but as soon as I moved the entire screen turned to 1000s of little brown boxes and the console locked up again.

I then switched to Dead or Alive 4, and that also locked up, but Oblivion and Prey both played fine for several hours, then Dead Risong worked again for an hour or so.

Then this morning Dead Rising would load, but then go to a black screen after playiing for a few minutes. Did this several times before giving up.

Tried again this afternoon and all was fine, Played for over an hour, but then tried this evening and it locked up to the black screen again.

I don't know if it's the game itself or the console at this point, but I've enjoyed the game when it does play, even though I hate the save system.

So today i finally beat those guys in the jeep in the park and I'm bringing the lady back to the safe spot when I get the game cannot read the disc message. So I was pretty pissed off. But I beat it later on and got it saved when I realised that you can carry the person on your back. It made things so much easier to carry them than having to wait for the other person to keep up.

But to me this is not a game that I cannot play for hours straight. I usually play for about an hour at a time. Anymore than that and I get to aggrivated and bored.

How do you carry someone on your back?

I think it depends on the character you're talking to. I don't think you can carry everyone. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Some you can carry and others you can lead around by holding their hand. The carrying method is easier but still a pain in the ass for me so I've abandoned both and just let them get eaten alive. It seems to be working for me so far. :)

a question about kill totals, I went through the game once but didn't do the cases. I had almost 5500 kills. when the game restarted I was back to 0 kills. I am now back up to 2100 kills again. does this mean I have 7600 total kills now or do I only have 2100? I'm guessing I actually only have the 2100 now but I thought I should ask.

It was the girl in the jewelry store that I was carrying, so I guess you can carry the lightweight ones around not the guys.

But if I get an MS warranty, wouldn't I have to ship it to them and possibly pay more to fix it? At Best Buy, at least I'd be able to exchange it in person.
