E3 talk in this sub-forum please...

Hey Guys & Gals,

Can we try to confine all the E3 talk to this sub-forum for the week? This will allow regular discussions to take place in the VG forum.

Thanks!

Might make sense to rename the sub-forum them.

An attempt to make the game announcement sub forum worthwhile?

I think it's all going to spill over anyways. People will post info in the system threads and then there will be multiple posts about the same thing.

Could be wrong though.

But this way things can spill out of hte system threads and be more directed... rather than a mix of 20 posts on Test Drive, then 4 on Live content, then another TD... for example.

I'm sure there will be overlap, but at least this should help clean up the main forum a bit.

Is this really necessary or are we just trying to find an excuse to keep this sub-forum active? I mean, there's some flawed logic in denying an Xbox 360 sub-forum at its launch but having one for a three day event. Honestly, the traffic in the main forum would be little affected by a few extra E3 threads (especially if contained to a few central discussions) and most people going to the main forum are probably there for E3 talk anyway.. so, yeah.

Just my two cents.

(edit: I guess moving E3 talk here was to pimp out press releases.)

No this isn't to keep this forum active, it's to help keep excess clutter out of the main forum for this event.

Press releases are a part of E3.

I wish I could attend E3. I took this week off because I planned on taking a trip down to SoCal and possibly go to this thing. I have connections in the industry but I don't work in it, so I'm screwed.

Who's going to have the best coverage of the event? I'm assuming G4?

I don't think clutter will really be something that's a problem. Unlike previous sub-forums (movies, etc) this is something (e3) which affects all video game players, not a specific subset.

It's not like regular forum is super-active as it is.
