Call of Duty 3 confirmed
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/705/705212p1.html
Call of Duty 3 has just been confirmed to be coming to all three next gen consoles before years end. Assuming the trailer is made up of gameplay the graphics appear to be a step above the already excellent Call of Duty 2. Even though I am kind of sick of World War 2 games this one has me excited.

That isn't gameplay. That's CGI just like their COD 2 commercials and the Killzone trailer from last E3.
COD 3 is being developed by Treyarch instead of Infinity Ward which probably means it won't be as good as COD 2 as well.

Many people prefer play FPS (first person shooter) with mouse/keyboard which PC provided. Playing FPS with controller is greatly difficult - with practice, you probably play well, but no where near as mouse/keyboard level.
So far, only PS2 and Xbox has ablitiy to hook up mouse/keyboard - I don't know if anyone is going to create a mouse/keyboard adaptor for 360.
My Dell PC is 2 years old and it can play COD2 very well.

I made the mistake of watching the new Brothers In Arms trailer before the COD3 trailer.
I WISH the gameplay would look that good but I doubt it will be a huge step forward from the previous game.
COD3 will no doubt be fun but BIA:HH sure is looking amazing so far. I realize the gameplay is different but sooner or later we'll have to just group the war shooters together no matter how the gameplay is.

Looking forward to this. COD2 on the 360 is probably one of my all time fave games. Played it through twice immediately (Normal and Veteran), totally ignoring my other new 360 games. Never did that before.

End of discussion.
Someone let me know when there's real CoD3 video.

I'm a little concerned about Treyarch developing this one, as their console versions have all been pretty medicore. I wonder why Infinty is letting them do a true sequal instead of their usual spinoffs.

Well... According to Romero, the mod community is hurting the PC game industry, who need em!

I've started a new thread about PC gaming vs. Console gaming. Get this thread back on COD3 track.

Wow, that looks fantastic. Might hold off on buying 2 until this one comes out -- I love my Xbox 360, and almost picked up 2 today - probably will just wait until 3 comes out now...
