You can get all 6 in one visit (if you keep at it). My son got 3 pipes in a row, my other son got all 6 in 6 tries.

Thanks rf, finally got in and tagged the crown (saved me some bells!!!). I left a bunch of fossils outside your museum and a bunch of gyroids outside your house. Anyone who wants to tag the gyroids or needs an elusive one for their collection feel free, please leave the fossils for rf though.

Just got back from work at TRU (Rzone), I took my DS in and downloaded a lot. I finally figured it out, the instructions don't say how to use the DS from Nintendo. It's a black screen with a bunch of code and I thought there was something wrong with ours....turns out, you can control what you give to the customer. Most workers may not figure it out, so you could just tell them to set it a certain way to get all of them.

They need to press the A button I think it was, and it goes to a different screen. This is what it says and this is what I figured out was the item you get for each "code":

MNK00 ? BLOCK
MNK01 1 UP MUSHROOM
MNK02 GREEN PIPE
MNK03 FLAG POLE
MNK04 FIRE BAR
MNK05 STAR MAN
RANDOM (most probably have it set on this)
RELAY (this is odd, it sends the message back to you without giving you anything)

I figured this out 'cause I gave myself about 6 Fire Bars the first time I did it thinking I'd get one of each. Then I figured out you could change them. I assume a worker would let you do it if they have the time to change them for you. I know there isn't anyone at my store that knows even how to do it. When I came into work today, they said they told people this download was next week and they didn't know about it. It's advertised in our paper and they were turning people away!

I ended up getting 4 ? Blocks, 3 Star Men, 3 Green Pipes, 3 1 Up Mushrooms, 3 Flag Poles, and about 6 Fire Bars so far. I don't know of any Fire Flowers or Super Mushrooms given away in this download but those are confirmed.

friggin scorpion ate me last night!

I was on the beach playing with my coconuts (ha!) and I saw a little brown thing bobbing back and forth at the edge of the screen. I thought it was a moth or something so I equipped the net and ran over...oops.

Scorpion charged me, stung me, and it reset me back to in front of my house. When I ran back, it was gone. Has anyone caught that thing?

My wife said that not only can you catch them, but if you donate both the scorpion and the tarantula to the musem, they will fight each other.

I've caught both and donated both to the museum but I'll take a tour tonight and see if they fight lol!

So yes, it is possible to catch them. I've caught about 4 scorps and 1 Taruantula. They come out at night when it's not raining/snowing. You can hear them walking around, it's sounds like a weird scurrying noise, almost like a tree shaking. But it's very distinct, so you'll know, then equip your net and walk up slowly, don't run. If they see you and start to come after you - run away, you can escape before they attack you. I've had one chase me all around my town before he stopped and I caught him, it was really funny. But walk up slowly (ready to run away though), and try and sneak up where he cannot see you. When you get close, try and grab it but start running away right away in case you miss, because they'll turn on you right away.

Nice and slow, stay out of sight, that's about all there is to it.

Yeah, one time I heard the scurrying noise, and saw the scorpion. It ran at me, and I just happened to have my net equipped, and I caught it! So THAT's what nuked me the night before...

The scorpion and tarantula do fight in the museum.

Both will zap you back to your house. If they start chasing run like crazy, eventually they will stop and you can turn and catch them. Approach them slowly and head on and catch them with the net. If you miss they will sting you every time...

Has anyone tried to squish the cockroach in the museum? Try it!

Some of you are new players of ACWW and don't know about shooting stars, it's kinda hard to explain it all while on WIFI, so I thought I post it here, since there's a lunar eclipse tonight the posibility of shooting stars is quite high if it isn't raining that is. Anyway, don't have any item equipped, such as fishing rod, net, water can, etc. have your hands empty, then if you hear a shooting star, tap yourself with stylus and your character will perform a prayer animation,next day a letter will arrive in your mailbox with a special rare item

Sorry guys, Scott of Kaplanto and company. I've lagged out of two towns tonight and perhaps it's my connection causing the problem, I'll check it out tomorrow since it's kinda late already.

...by the way, if you have several visitors in your town, it's a good idea to ask the players if they wanna save, then press the start button and you won't loose any of the things you and your visitors acquired in that town up to that point. Only the host can save.

Thanks for the info about the shooting stars aliciaelena, I didn't know that. I know you were trying to tell me and Scott about them....you're right, it's so hard over Wifi. Too bad we kept losing a connection, it was working fine with me and Scott. Oh well, those things happen. We thought maybe you had your settings to get downloads on.

I too really want a Metroid. Some how I caught a bee last night. Didn't expect it to happen but I caught one. From TRU I got Fire Pole, Flagpole, Green Pipe and ? Block. I'm going back tonight to try and get the 1up mushroom and star man. How do you get a fire flower? Did you just sign on to wifi?

You can do this by pressing the A button also. Not only will you get a present, but I believe it will add another paper to your catalog.
