"Gunstar Super Heroes" (GBA)...how is it?

Anything like and better than "Astro Boy"? is it really old-school, fun as hell shooter?

If you liked Astro Boy DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200. Go directly to the store and buy it, it's $20 now. It's got much, much more action than Astro Boy but it's very similar. It is more straight-forward than Astro Boy.. and maybe a little shorted because there's no "go back and collect stuff" missions.. but the action more than makes up for it.

I think its better than Astroboy. Great action and typically challenging Treasure gameplay. Probably the best looking GBA ever.

Is it good?

HELLZ YEAH! sorry. Like I tell my customers looking for a solid GBA action title, it gets no better than Gunstar. Sometimes it's a hard sell sice many of my guests can't appreciate a game like this. It's only $20 and worth every penny due to its challenge and gameplay, because this game will kick your ass.

Very enjoyable! I played through this game as both red and blue. The run and gun controls take a bit of getting used to. I can't remember another 2D sidescroller that lets you aim 360 degrees while moving.

Hmmm, I vaguely recall being able to slowly walk backward while firing missiles in a Metroid game. I'm sure someone here can confirm that for me.

Just remember that the overhead mission is over quick and you'll be fine.

Im guessing maybe more than if not at least 10 hours. Some bosses are pretty intense, and some youll plow right through.

You're crazy. I'd say 2 hours the first time through. It's a short game.

The controls on this game are BEAUTIFUL. First side-scrolling shooter I've played that has strafing (and boy do you need it in this one). I just wish that the two characters had more varied differences between them. The throwbacks to classic Sega games was a nice touch as well.

Yeah, Super Metroid has a moon-walk move. Wasn't really useful anywhere though.
