"Gunstar Super Heroes" (GBA)...how is it?
Anything like and better than "Astro Boy"? is it really old-school, fun as hell shooter?

If you liked Astro Boy DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200. Go directly to the store and buy it, it's $20 now. It's got much, much more action than Astro Boy but it's very similar. It is more straight-forward than Astro Boy.. and maybe a little shorted because there's no "go back and collect stuff" missions.. but the action more than makes up for it.

sorry. Like I tell my customers looking for a solid GBA action title, it gets no better than Gunstar. Sometimes it's a hard sell sice many of my guests can't appreciate a game like this. It's only $20 and worth every penny due to its challenge and gameplay, because this game will kick your ass.

Very enjoyable! I played through this game as both red and blue. The run and gun controls take a bit of getting used to. I can't remember another 2D sidescroller that lets you aim 360 degrees while moving.
Hmmm, I vaguely recall being able to slowly walk backward while firing missiles in a Metroid game. I'm sure someone here can confirm that for me.

Yeah, Super Metroid has a moon-walk move. Wasn't really useful anywhere though.
