Asian PS2 Sony memory card?
I ordered a PS2 Sony memory card from Amazon.com marketplace, but I got it, and there are Asian characters all over the packaging. I opened it up, and all the markings on the actual card are exactly the same as my Sony memory card I got 4 years ago at Walmart except it's made in China instead of Japan, and it's got an "F" instead of a "K" after "Sony Computer Entertainment Inc." on the back (and also some number which I believe are the date manufactured are different). It seems to work fine on my console. Should I be worried about it in any way? My main concern is if it's more likely to fail.

I guess the main thing that causes me to be worried is that it says it's made in China, where my memory card I bought at Walmart says it's made in Japan. But the one made in China shouldn't be of any lower quality?

How long ago did you buy your memory card that was made in Japan?
The PS2 console that I got last month was made in China. The logitech controller I got was made in China. All my compact flash cards were made in China. I'm going to pick up a PS2 memory card later and I bet it's made in China too.

Got it over 4 years ago, so I guess they could have changed the location of their production facilities by now. Let me know where your new memory card is made when you get it.

I guess if anyone else has bought a U.S. memory card lately and could check to see if it's made in China or Japan, that would help too, so please respond if that's you.
