It's a few notches below "Used Car Salesmen".

You have no right to own a 360 at a certain price or to have one available to you for purchase. Its better than the diamond trade and the stock market
for sure. And remember the person paying $1200 for an xbox 360 has A WHOLE LOT MORE MONEY than the person waiting outside in the cold, then selling it for a profit. Redistribution of wealth can't be that bad.

Oh shit, wait a second. That's communism, and it didn't work out so well for the USSR. We live in a capitalist country, and every profitable good or service is sold at market value. That is why medical "specialists" demand more money. Of course, you as a consumer don't see that, because you have this thing called medical insurance which hides these costs from you.
Scalping is the market at work. Supply and Demand. If you don't like it, then wait until supply equals demand.

I was in Best Buy yesterday walking around the gaming section when one of there blue shirts asked if he could help me. I mentioned when and if they would get another x-box 360 shippment before X-mas, and he said yes they would. He said he couldn't tell what day though or he would get in trouble.

I was watching the "Smash My Xbox" video where they bought a 360 and smashed it immediately after getting out of Best Buy. Besides the fact that these guys waiting 55 hours (yowsers!) for their 360, I found it funny what the Best Buy guy said.
He said that the first 360 they had scratched the hell out of their Madden disc, and the second one kept freezing up. Of course this was immediately followed up with a pitch to sell an extended warrantee (because Best Buy loves you). I just found it so funny that these guys go as low as bad-mouthing a console that you want in order to sell you a warantee. So sad.

[QUOTE=joshd2012]Yeah! What really should be happening is that everyone who needs medical help, get that medical help for the same price. Equal distribution of medical help to everyone![QUOTE]
Yep, that's how it works in the USA. Right now a doctor sets a price and will see anyone who can pay for it. They charge by the time it takes them and add on the lab fees etc. They don't change the price based on how much pain you are in, or how many people are in their waiting room. I guess they are communists. If you're kid is seriously ill though, would you want a sliding scale?
We could debate this forever, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I do think it's legal to scalp an XBox, but I think it's slimey. If you don't think there's anything wrong with it, that's fine. I'm sure neither of us will change each other's mind.
To get this thread back on topic, I'll relate the latest in my saga. I called GameStop, and they don't know where my XBox is. They say they UPS has it, but that they don't have a delivery time/date. Great.

You've made your point John. I guess it's time to go back to your video game.
