I went by my GR last night to pick up a couple of games. I asked about the 360 launch. First, no one knew anything about the launch. So, the lady had to make at least 6 different phone calls. Here's what I was told, my GR will not have a midnight launch. If I want it pick it up, I have to drive about 30 minutes away and go to the "official launch party" at another GR. You think this would not be so bad, but there are at least 10 GR in the Plano, Frisco, North Dallas area. Also, I have no idea how many GR's are in the Dallas area. All pre-order are going to this one GR. I'm thinking what about at least 150 pre-orders for the Dallas area. Here I was thinking I would not have to wait in line, go to my GR at midnight and be home by 12:30. Now, I will not be getting my 360 at midnight. I'll pick it up on Tuesday after work. Oh well, I have Wednesday off so I'll play the crap out of it then........

So are all Best Buy's Holding back on selling the games? I was thinking of going in today to pick up my pre-orders since they are doing the 10% off for Reward Zone members this weekend.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. That is probably why they are holding them. Oh well, not a big deal, you would only save $1 more than the gamer gift card anyway, which I am using on every game.

It was on fire the second it was up. I got one into my shopping cart then boom, I couldn't get any farther. "The server has timed out". Oh well.

I suspect them of holding out until the 22nd. Out of the 5 games I preordered on their website, 3 got changed to backordered. Madden and NBA2K6 are currently shipping, though

I was just able to get through at Circuit City. It looks like they shut the site down temporarily twice, and after the second time things were moving much quicker. I don't know if it's b/c people stopped trying or b/c they made some technical changes.

In addition to the bundle, it costs another $95 to have it delivered on Tuesday (11/22). The free option doesn't guarantee delivery until somewhere between 11/28 and 12/6 (at least I think that's the range, I know 12/6 was the end of it).

Also, if you can get back on the site, check your cart, b/c the bundle should still be in there.

It was brutal and took me 3 hrs, but I finally got my order confirmation from CC today. I got the lower priced premium bundle. What a day.

Got my order in at CC today as well. The site was hammered exactly at 2PM EST and died quickly. Glad I won't have to wait in line as planned.

What do you think my chances are of getting a premium system at my Best Buy are if I get there around 6pm for the midnight opening? They are getting 136 premium systems. Should I even try?

Lucky! :-) I tried for 2+ hrs and couldn't get past step 2 of 3 in the checkout process. Looks like it's waiting in line @ BB for me. Although I'm still a little steamed for the RZ pre-order disaster... I'm going to call my local BJs today to see if they'll be carrying prems (or any for that matter) on launch day.

Yeah. I tried on the best buy RZ one too. What a joke both of these turned into. For this one, it was my last hope, and that item was not leaving my cart until I got my order processed. And I hit that screen 3 times before it finally made it through.
