I'll have mine Saturday along with Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, and a third undecided game. I'm trading in the copy of Need For Speed that is coming with it.

What games you picking up buzzdalf?

I must've misread the title of the thread. I thought it was for people who currently have an xbox 360 who would like to post their first impressions of it.

Total I used 4 codes, but the other 3 my girlfriend gave me. In the drawing I won, I did only use 1 code. Total cost $1.07.

Yeah, you're right. Looks like Saturday will be the earliest any of us get it.

Overall, I think the system is awesome. That being said, it seems like the live headset is the biggest piece of junk ever. I played a little halo w/ the wireless controller and I heard constant static.

You might have been hearing interference from the wireless controller. Have any wireless phones or microwaves nearby? I had the same problem with a wireless Xbox 1 controller.

Agreed...This box for this thing (premium) is heavy.

I'm in need of some sleep before opening. I waited 10 hours outside ShopKo in Delevan WI. They only had 4.

this core is useless for any of the media stuff. Everytime I go to do something it tells me it needs a storage device. Figures.

Anyone having problems getting your PC to "see" the 360 with Windows Media Connect. I got nothing. Might be my router, Linksys BEFW11S4. Any help would be appreciated.

I ended up having to uninstall my firewall(Kaspersky Anti-Hacker) in order to get access to my windows xp SP2 box.

Yes I know I am quoting myself. I figured it out. I am running a Linksys router and the free Zone Alarm which does not have an option in the free version to open a specific port. But if anyone is having the same problem I was here is how to fix it. Shutdown Zone Alarm, start Windows Media Connect and turn on the XBox. It should now show up in Windows Media Connect. Click Allow and then restart ZA. On the XBOX go to Media > Music > Computer and when it asks if you have Windows Media Connect installed on the computer say yes. The XBOX will then look for the computer but will say that it can't find it. On the computer ZA will pop up a window telling you that it denied access from an IP address. Open ZA and go to Firewall > Zones Tab > Add. Add the IP as a Trusted Zone and name it XBOX 360 (or whatever you want). Click Apply. Now go to Program Control > Programs Tab and look for Windows Media Connect. Grant it server access and you should be done.

I cant get my PC to see the 360 either. I have a Linksys router, but no 3rd party firewall. It can get to XBox live, but the PC has no idea it's there.

I've only gotten the chance to play one mission on PDZ, but heres what I think about the system so far.

Pros:
-Comfortable controller
-Great user interface. It's bright, clean, slick, and easy to use
-Finally get to see what a game would look like on my TV running on 720p
-Looks great, nice system design

Cons:
-Fan runs really loud
-the power cord/brick is way huge
