My votes will be going toward the games that I've loved and played, so I'll be a little biased against PS2 & Gamecube games.
1. D_N_G vs orangecrush18 -- D_N_G
1. D_N_G vs orangecrush18 -- D_N_G
Owned 6 of the games on D_N_G's list and none on orangecrush18's.
2. maxfisher vs ChrisKnudson -- ChrisKnudsenGotta go with River City Ransom.
3. maxflier vs ryuryu2949 -- ryuryu2949Great memories of Tecmo Super Bowl.
4. DJ_Longfellow vs keyed -- keyedEr, slight biase here. With the exception of Tecmo Bowl (thought Super Bowl was the one for SNES), these are all games I've played. I love Mario Kart and Punchout, but I haven't played 7 of the games.
5. gimmepilotwings vs Jeremy517 -- Jeremy517Zelda, Contra, Tony Hawk 3, & Fire Emblem overcome Soul Caliber, Virtual Tennis, Battletoads, Bubble Bobble, & Sonic The Hedgehog
6. cleaver vs dashed -- cleaverChrono Trigger, Dragon Warrior, Zelda: A Link to the Past, & Castlevania II vs. Zelda: Ocarina of Time, FF III, Legend of Zelda, & Soul Calibur 2. Close calls, but Chrono Trigger gives cleaver the edge.
7. mano365 vs msdmoney -- mano365I've only played 1 game on msdmoney's list.
8. rainmaker vs Vryce -- RainmakerActraiser, Tetris, & FF II, Mega Man 2, & MvS 2 vs. FF VII, Pitfall, Jade Empire, & Fable. Gotta go with the classics.

Bus, I know you voted for me, but wouldn't you say Wonder Boy III was going out on a limb? How many people had a SMS?

This is going to be tough. I know this isn't the best measurement, but I am going to do a matchup round-by-round to determine my pick.
1- D_N_G (was a tie at 5-5, so I went with the best game on the list, which is SMB3)
2- maxfisher (6-4; appreciated the 3do and cdi picks, but that might have cost you the match in my vote based on the matchup)
3- ryuryu2949 (of course I will be voting for myself--Sega Master System rocks!)
4- djlongfellow (was tied at 5-5, so I went with the best game, Mike Tyson's Punch Out)
5- gimmepilotwings (8-2, the first wide margin yet)
6- cleaver (6-4)
7- msdmoney (6-4)
8- rainmaker (7-3)
Shocked nobody picked ET for the Atari 2600!

Since my list seems to not be classic enough, or contain those obscure titles, let me go on the defensive and explain my picks.
1. Final Fantasy VII - Playstation - The game that exploded Final Fantasy in the US market. Without its success, I doubt the US would have seen actual releases of any of the earlier Final Fantasy series and I would hazard a guess that Final Fantasy games after it might have been short in supply.
2. Chu Chu Rocket - Dreamcast - Pure camp fun. Everytime I hook up my DreamCast I find myself playing this game. It is infectious fun that leads to competition if played where anyone watches you.
3. Secret of Mana - SNES - One of the best RPG games.
4. Metroid - NES - The metroid craze started here. Who can deny it and talk about the shock ending.
5. Paper Mario - Nintendo 64 - A unique game with our favorite plumber. It's Mario.
6. Pitfall - Atari 2600 - In all its crocodile jumping, vine swinging goodness
7. Jade Empire - XBox - Highly anticipated and successful on the coattails of Knights of the Old Republic.
8. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs - PS2 - One of the first, if not the first, multiplayer games for PS2. Highly successful in its day.
9. Mario Cart Double Dash - GameCube - Pure fun. A great party game with multiple friends. I've spent hours playing this game
10. Fable - XBox - ANother highly anticipated game for the XBox. A semi-opened ended RPG game where your actions determine how your character looks and people react with you. Unique and great game play.

D_N_G Street Fighter 2 and Super Mario 3 would have been on my list, I found orangecrush18's list too RPG heavy for my tastes.
maxfisher
1. Resident Evil 4 - Gamecube
2. Mario Kart 64 - Nintendo 64
3. Bionic Commando - NES
9. Twisted Metal 2 - Playstation
4 of my favorites, and I really wanted to pick TM2, loved that game.
ryuryu2949 tough for me, but I played the hell out of Goldeneye and Tecmo so I had to go with ryu.
keyed Tecmo bowl, altered beast and golden axe.
Jeremy517 some better classics IMO
cleaver, no contest here Zelda OoT is my favorite game ever and that is combined with Legend of Zelda, God of War, Metroid Prime 2
msdmoney - voting for myself, actually I really haven't played many games from mako's list. As cleaver mentioned my list is pretty adventure heavy, that's just what I enjoy.
Rainmaker- more anti FF7 than anything else, but I loved Tetris and RC pro Am.

1. D_N_G
Gotta go with DNG here because it is more well rounded in the different genres.
2. maxfisher
This was a tough one for me. I went with maxfisher simply because I didn't know some of the games on the other list.
3. maxflier
Too many good games in maxflier's list.
4. DJ_Longfellow
I simply liked more games in Longfellow's list.
5. gimmepilotwings
Bubble Bobble is one of my all time favorites.
6. cleaver
I liked more of the games in cleaver's list.
7. msdmoney
haven't played many of the games in mano's list. So gave it to msdmoney.
8. Vryce
vryce had a slightly better lineup.

A little statistical breakdown (sorry it's not as flashy as The Bus' over in the music draft):
Games by system:
Games by generation: (this is how I would classify each gen. anyway)
If everyone would be willing to look up the publisher/developer and the release date for their games I would be willing to list that too.
Games by system:
- Atari 2600---------------------------------2
- Nintendo Entertainment System ----------24
- Sega Master System-----------------------2
- Nintendo Gameboy------------------------2
- Sega Genesis -----------------------------11
- Super Nintendo Entertainment System ---21
- Sega CD ----------------------------------3
- Sega Game Gear--------------------------1
- CD-i---------------------------------------1
- 3DO---------------------------------------1
- Sega Saturn-------------------------------5
- Sony Playstation--------------------------15
- Nintendo 64-------------------------------9
- Nintendo Gameboy Advance--------------4
- Sega Dreamcast --------------------------7
- Sony PlayStation 2------------------------20
- Nintendo Gamecube ----------------------12
- Microsoft XBox----------------------------17
- Nintendo DS-------------------------------2
- Sony PSP----------------------------------1
Games by generation: (this is how I would classify each gen. anyway)
- 1st Generation (Atari, NES, SMS) - 28
- 2nd Generation (GB, Genesis, SNES, Sega CD, GG, CD-i) - 39
- 3rd Generation (3DO, SS, PS1, N64, GBA) - 34
- 4th Generation (DC, PS2, XB, GC, DS, PSP) - 59
If everyone would be willing to look up the publisher/developer and the release date for their games I would be willing to list that too.

Here are the release dates, ratings and mini reviews with star ratings from allgame.com:
1. Earthbound - SNES
1995 (****)
-1st RPG I played all the way through and got bored with FFIII (or 6) and Secret of Mana so I thought that RPGs just wasn't my thing until I played this.
2. River City Ransom - NES
Jan 1990 (*** 1/2)
-My favorite Nintendo game and the RPG elements make it 4000% better than Double Dragon.
3. Out of this World - 3DO
1994 (****)
-Beat the SNES version so many times that it is probaly the most beaten game by me but I end up buying a 3DO later in my life just so I can play this verison with better graphics and such and wow, it really does look amazing and well worth just buying the 3DO alone.
4. Parappa the Rapper - Playstation
Nov 1997 (****)
-The reason why I bought a PSX and is probably the 2nd most beaten game by me. I still don't get tired by the story. Never got around to playing part 2 for whatever reason but played UmJammy LAmmy.
5. Katamari Damacy - PS2
Sep 2004 (***1/2)
-Too addictive. Lost many nights of sleep over this.
6. Pikmin - Gamecube
Dec. 2001 (****)
-1st gamecube game I got (with Super Monkey Ball) and I end up beating it in 3 days but still would go around and playing and beating it like once every two months.
7. Burn:Cycle - CD-i
1994 (****)
-I love adventure games and since we couldn't pick PC games for whatever reason, I chose the great lost CD-i game Burn:Cycle which I have played the PC version a lot and this version seems less buggy. Other nominees include for my CD-i pick: Lil Devil and that is really it.
8. Maniac Mansion - NES
Oct. 1990 (***)
-Played this game with friends a lot and was only able to beat it actually once with Bernard and Wendy but man, did my friends like to drown one of our team or put the hamster in the microwave. Too many memories not to include this one.
9. Nights - Saturn
Aug. 1996 (****)
-Reason why I bought a Saturn (after I bought a Dreamcast) for 20 dollars and while they were many great games for the Saturn, this is probably my favorite platform like game.
10. Fear Effect - Playstation
Feb 2000 (****1/2)
-Maybe my favorite story with dialogue (the all time greatest videogame story is still Out of this World). More twisits than a Shalyaman film.
1. Earthbound - SNES

Nintendo 64 had 9 games drafted to Dreamcast's 7, but N64 is remembered as a much greater success.
Nintendo systems make up 80% of portable games drafted, and the 3 portable systems with the most games drafted.
Although SNES had the 2nd most games drafted, it had the most in the 1st round (4), 3 in the 2nd (only NES had more with 5), most in the 3rd (5, along with NES), and 3 in the 4th (tied for most, but NES only had 1).
Playstation had 15 games drafted (5th most among systems), 3 in the 1st round (2nd most) and 5 in the 9th (as many in any round as any system).

Im glad to see the old school Nintendo Dominance (nes and snes). They just dont make games like they used to. Though a few of the new games really do stand out.

I almost selected a Lynx game, it was one of the systems that I owned. I surprised I drafted the only PSP game. I just did it so I had a handheld game.....I almost picked Lumines (I wonder if that would've helped)

And the winners are:
1. D_N_G. It was close but D_N_G had a slight edge with the original RE.
2. maxfisher. This was easy as RE4 owns all.
3. ryuryu2949. Although Shenmue is a hard game to vote against.
4. DJ_Longfellow. This was close. I almost voted for Keyed.
5. gimmiepilotwings. Easy decision. Virtua Tennis and Soul Calibur? No contest. San Andreas was just icing on the cake.
6. cleaver. More games on that list that I've enjoyed.
7. msdmoney. Mario 64, RE4 and Metroid Prime? Does it get any better?
8. vryce. Although I can't deny the greatness of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Metroid for the NES is a pure old school classic.
