Will Xbox360 Games be hard to find on launch day?

without a preorder. Will they be scarce? Games like Perfect Dark and COD2?

I doubt it. Unless people hoard them for ebay purposes.

I know this isn't the response you're looking for but I can't imagine that stores would have less stock in games than consoles on the shelves, I remember when I went to EB games after the PSP launch they had shitloads of games.

MS titles no. But some of the 3rd party ones, Yes.

Which one that may be.... We'll find out soon enough.

My prediction:

Codemned
Gun
RR6

will be scarce at launch. ie. they'll have a few xtra copies over their pre-orders. What's my basis, absolutely nothing! Just me speculating cause Condemned and Gun have potential to be Great titles but don't have the marketing hype as the other titles. Ridge Racer 6 cause I'm thinking MS will be pushing more incentives to retailers to push PGR3 over the 2 other racing titles.

But in the end who knows, and within a week you should be able to get whatever you want!

The majority of the games and accessories are going to be on shelves at the end of next week a few days before launch. If you fear a shortage, just pick them up before the console launches.

That's what I plan on doing.

No, I've never had a hard time finding games for any system at launch.

The only time I had difficulties getting games at launch was for the N64.

Well, when the PSP launched, Ridge Racer was a little hard to find, but that was supply issues. Bottom line is that Microsoft and the developers and the stores want as many games and accessories out there as they can pump out, because that's how they make the majority of their money (which is why you have stores forcing bundles).

Did you have trouble with just Mario 64 or the other game, Pilotwings 64? I think Shadows of the Empire may have been a launch title too; I don't remember. I imagine almost everyone had to have Mario.

Nowadays, it seems like there are at least 10 or 15 games available at launch, so there is little chance of everyone buying a certain game and causing a shortage. Also, it's a lot easier to produce extra copies of a game on cheap DVDs than to build and ship more hardware.

I'm not sure if Shadows was out on launch day, but I'm pretty sure that it was in the launch "window". I remember not be able to find a coupy for weeks! It was crazy. Finally my friend got a copy and I got to play it at his house. As for Mario 64, I got it on launch day, but I had to go to several different stores to find a copy. The only title I remember being plentyfull was Killer Instinct Gold. But I never picked that one up because there was no topping the original in my mind, and I never had any interest in Pilotwings so I don't recall what happened there.
