Selling my Xbox - What about Live?

So, I am going to sell my Xbox and will get 360 when it comes out.

Anyone know what I need to do to assure that my Xbox Live is off my Xbox and transferes to my Xbox 360?

You need to link your gamertag.

Then you can delete your account from you XBOX and sell it. When you get your 360 you will retrieve your info via the .NET passport that you established when you linked.

I was going to sell my Xbox also and get a 360 but wasn't sure what games would be backwards compatible.

That's pretty shitty of Microsoft to not release details about backwards compatability when it is being RELEASED THIS MONTH.

Halo also

I think MOST first party games will be supported. I read that in a magazine.

Plus, I don't think they've been real clear on the fact that, according to EGM, you HAVE to have the hard drive version and be connected to the internet to download the emulators for you old Xbox games.

They have stated that fact in pretty much every article since they agreed to make the 360 BC. Well.....every article since they announced they were making a system with no HDD attached.

I do agree the BC list is long overdue.
