What are the Playstations 2 must-have/play titles?

I am currently debating on picking up a Playstation 2 for Soul Caliber 3 and with Toys R us current deal of buy 2 get 1 free, I was wondering what other games you all would recommend or are must haves? I know that is very open ended, but I haven't looked at the PS2 in forever so I don't know whats even out there.

Mine too, along with the recently released Shadow of the Colossus.
Ico is cheap nowadays though, so i would get SotC and GTA:San Andreas if I were you to take advantage of the deal.

Do we really need one of these threads every few weeks? My ps2 favorites are:

Metal Gear Solid 3 (Subsistence coming soon)
God of War
Jak series
Sly Cooper series
Devil May Cry 1/3
SSX series

There's also a good collection of RPGs, but it really depends on your style of game.

Frequency and Amplitude if you've got any interest in music games. The upcoming Guitar Hero (made by the same people as Freq/Amp) looks downright awesome, too.

I'd buy from TRU, Shadow of the Colossus, Jak X, and Sly 3 (or Resident Evil 4).

Went to TRU today, and I forgot how bad the one closest to me is. So I need to take a trip to one of the other two stores to see if they have anything even in stock. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
