Yeah, I heard that as well. This game is going to force me to make some tough decisions. I know 2.0 is supposedly 'downgradable', but I also know that runs a small risk of bricking the system. So far I have Tony Hawk and Lumines for PSP, but neither has held my attention for very long. I have got many many hours of enjoyment out of classics I won't mention here, on the other hand.

Ok, now tell me that's not an impressive way to deliver a video game review.

Really? I would think it would eventually make it's way to the PS2...seeing as how they're both Sony.

Oh no, I hope that's not true....I'm sure someone will have a version changer that works.

I'm getting mine today, so hopefully it works...I refuse to upgrade

From what I've read, no version changer is ever going to work as the music is all sompressed to use the new audio codec that is only available to 2.0+ firmware. I decided to upgrade so I could play, I've already downgraded once, so I'm not to worried to do it again after I'm done with the game, and it's a lot of fun so it's worth the risk to me.

It was designed from the ground up to be a PSP game only - everything from the way the missions were designed to the time it takes to complete said missions.

Gotcha. Wasn't aware of that.

Did you upgrade to 2.0 using the firmware update included on the GTA LCS disc or did you use a different source? I've heard people have had problems downgrading from the firmware that comes with GTA LCS, even though it is supposedly only 2.0 like the others.

I used the version on the disk, if I can't go back it's not the end of the world, someone will figure something out in order to get homebrew to run.

Edit - Just ran the downgrader and downgraded back to 1.5 without a problem, then back up to 2.0 (this time from another source) and GTA works again without a problem
