Anyone pick up Blitz:The League?

I am seriously considering picking this up tomorrow.

Impressions anyone?

I picked it up the other day for PS2. Avoid the PS2 version at all costs. The load times are unbearable. We're talking 3 minute load times, I kid you not.

The Xbox version is a little less, but still way too long. I am trading the game just because I can't deal with the constant load times.

It's a good game if you like a football game that's a lot less complex than the other stuff out there. I like good old fashioned passing (hit one of three buttons assigned to each receiver) and basic formations. I do have a hard time with the fact that you don't see formations called Nickel and Shotgun, they all have new names.

And the fact that I could run the same play four times in a row with no problem turned me off, but after a bit, the AI seems to improve.

Yeah, I know what your saying, but myself, I certainly don't play the blitz games expecting a hardcore football sim, I just want the hardcore part Thanks for the advice though...

I wonder how much sales are going to take a hit considering Midway does not have NFL licensing anymore.
