"Second Sight"...how is it?
This is the 3rd person shooter with psychic abilities. I was wondering if anyone has it, or has played it and exactly how the gameplay is?
I am looking for a good 3rd person action game with some depth and good story that might last a little while.
Can this be compared to any others on the Gamecube (which is what i have, or any other consoles for that matter).
Any feedback I would greatly appreciate...

- Second Sight, solid characters and a great story. Gameplay was great. PSI powers were decent.
- Psi-Ops typical characters and mediocre run of the mill story. PSI powers were more fun to use than in Second Sight.
That being said, if I were to play through either one again, it would be Second Sight. If you haven't played Psi-ops then the whole PSI powers argument is moot, you will still have a blast with it. I just think they were handled better in that game.

and is it a lot of shooter in this game? also, is there any boss fights that could make this game somewhat epic?
thanks again for all Michael.

It's been about 6 months since I played through it, so it isn't fresh in my mind but I think it was one of the better games this generation. The graphics weren't super impressive, but the story and gameplay more than make up for it. Especially since the game can be had for around $15. Did you check Gamefly? I think they have it for around $10.
I don't recall any big boss battles because this game is set more in the realm of possibility than the fantastic (which is what Psi0ps was like). There are a handful of weapons, but the psi powers are more fun. There is nothing like flinging baddies through a glass window or off a roof. This game has (kinda) a puzzle element to it. i.e. You need to get from point A to B using your powers. It isn't heavy on that but enough to make it a solid element to the game.
I hope you enjoy it.

I have played both Second Sight and Psi-Ops, both are fun games, Second Sight has a better story, but IMO Psi-Ops has better gameplay. I agree with Michael Corvin and his comparison of the two games, but I would definitely choose Psi-Ops over Second Sight, I just think the actual game was more fun. Both can be had for $10 easy, I am pretty sure I have seen Second Sight for $10 quite recently.
Neither of these games is very long though, if you are looking for a longer game.

i only have Gamecube, so SS is only option.
so there isn't like super-baddies at the end of a level or the game for that matter? i think that makes games more epic.
also, is the shooting with auto aim or is it a second control stick i have to use?
thanks for all the feedback.

No big boss fights at all. There is certain type of enemy towards the end that takes a little longer to kill, but that's as hard as it gets.
The story is interesting, but the game is way too short. I was taking my time with it and finished in a little over 5 hours.
Auto aim with a precision cursor for headshots. But, you will learn to loath the auto aim when you are in a room of 6 enemies and you keep locking onto a box or a computer.
Psi powers are much more fun in PSI Ops, but much more important in SS. You will actually have to use them to get through some levels and into some rooms.
The game rings up for $9.99 at Best Buy even if the shelf tag doesn't say so.
More of a rental than a purchase.
Decent waste of 5 hours in my opinion.
