Marvel vs Capcom Question
Haven't kept up with video game news for a few years, but I've been waiting for some Marvel vs Capcom news for a while now, then I got the most disappointing news...a friend tells me EA now has the license to Marvel Characters Is this true?
If that is true then my chances of getting a port M vs C on a current system are pretty much zero?
That kinda sucks. Looks like I'll have to pick up a Dreamcast (again) for the days of 40 hit combos.

Now not to sound like Im crapping allow me to explain, I'll bypass the plot and get down to my biggest complaint: the gameplay. The game is a free for all combat game much like Power Stone, but the developers decided to take what was fun in P.S and remove it from that formula. Most of the arenas consist of rooftops with destructable enviroments, and walls that prevent a ringout until they are broken. Attacking the walls will break them down, or repeatedly throwing your enemy into said wall, however attacking is another issue. Each character has a set of combos repeatedly tapping one button does one string of attacks, combining others have different results depending on the situation, air combo or throw combo. In most of the cases the combo you started vaults you forward making you miss the target. The standard four hit combos work...sometimes usually by the third hit youve already been thrown or blown up by an enviromental hazard you werent originally attacking. Whats that you say? Why dont I lock on? Sad to say there is no lock on the only time you can lock onto something, or someone is when you are throwing an object, and even then the computer AI magicly catches everything you throw at it....everything.
I guess if you wanted to make the game interesting you could turn the VS mode into a drinking game consisting of whether or not your gonna hit the combo you've started. If EA wishes to continue publishing titles with Marvel characters they really need to pay attention to a few things. For starters your Hero or Imperfect (the villians of this title) has a special move gauge that depleats when signature moves are used, or mobility moves (ie Spider-Man web slings across arenas) this is pretty standard for any type of fighting game, but things that Marvel heroes can do normally like Wolverine using his claws, or Spider-Man clinging to walls drain said energy bar limiting their use. I understand the need for balance but this seems to be unecessary. The game tries to redeem itself with an adventure mode which is nothing more than a glorified beat 'em up that leads to a boss fight normally found in arcade mode. Avoid this game at all if possible, or if you need an excuse to go blind please feel free
