How is the score on each of the Zelda games? Is it beautifully scored or has it really aged?

The above poster mentioned that some games are "blurry" can somebody explain? I have a 54" Hitachi LCD are the games going to look even blurrier on that TV?

Also how hard are these Zelda games compared to games now a days say like, God Of War? Easier? Harder?

I don't really have any issues with blurring, and I don't think it would be any worse on your lcd than any of the other older consoles. Obviously use the highest quality cables you can get your hands on. I think one of the issues is the overuse of fog to hide the lack of draw distance in literally truckloads of n64 games. Fortunately neither mario64 nor zelda suffer from this.

There's nothing to worry about there, the music in both games is great. Nintendo spares no expenses when it comes to the Zelda series.

They present a reasonable challenge, but they're not too difficult.

Except that damn 20 lb. fish. That was the only "piece of heart" I couldn't get keeping me from 100% completion.

I'd forgotten about that part. I finally got one, but I think it took me a few hours.

N64 has way too many racing games.

Here is some non-racing game on N64 that AT THE TIME was praised by Game informer, until I realized they were biased towards that system (rating FIGHTERS DESTINT higher than TEKKEN 3 was a tip off)

MILO'S ASTRAL LANE
SPACE STATION SILICO VALLEY
WETRIX
DUAL HEROES
ART OF FIGHTING
FLYING DRAGONS
IGGY'S WRESCKING BALL
RAIDERS OF LOST ARK

which were OK< but I wouldn't pay more than 5 buck for it.

problem with N64 as the inability to hold FMV. And TOO MUCH race games! They could have kicked Playstation's butt had they not played it safe IMHO.

Well i thought I would update, I received the system on Thursday hooked it up and works great!

Currently playing Mario 64, and I must say, even for its age and the seemingly "kids only" factor it has to it, I have had a lot of fun playing it. Simple fun, thats all I can say, gathering stars and coins, its cool.

I wasn't expecting out of this world graphics, but they do look decent on my big TV, had a little trouble with the camera angle, not setting to what I like but i got it figured out, I switched to the Mario angle it it works a lot better.

I still gotta get Zelda and the other games people mentioned, the only ones good that came with the system are 007 and Mario, the others are lame and went to the trash.

I am up to 12 stars waahoo!

Mario 64 is quite possibly my favorite game ever. i have been playing it for as long as the 64 has been out and I never get tired of it. i have gotten all the stars, beat bowser #3 and found yoshi probably a hundred times now. if you ever have a question on it, i can answer it. this sounds pathetic but i know the name of every land and every board in it... im a loser so what...

i am getting my copy of mario 64 ds on sunday *for my bday!woo!*

Excellent!!! Thanks!

In fact while I am at it, i will as a few questions.

Is there really a 7th star in every level when you collect 100 coins?

Also does the tremor pack work on Mario 64? I got 2 with the system and I can't get it to work with Mario 64, maybe M64 isn't a compatable game?

What are the green ! blocks in the underwater/boat level with the eel?

Also how do you get the damn star thats in the current on that level?

Thanks man!!

1) Yes.

2)No. The rumble pack was released after Mario 64.

3)Once you get those boxes activated you will be able to turn into metal mario. (sink in water, invincible.)

4) See number 3.

A star will appear when you get 100 coins for each level.

You can't, if you haven't enabled the metallic Mario. You need the green blocks enabled in other level for Mario to walk under water.

To get the Metal Cap you have to get 8 stars and go beat bowser. once you do that you get the key to go downstairs. go downstairs and when you see the giant lava board take a right and jump up on the platform and go in that down. then hop in the pile of metal. Okay now to get the cap you have to get to the underwater so go to the left section, and then go all aroundthe side and hop over to the boulders. once you reach the top of that go into the door at the right *and for the record the 6th star in the board do a wall kick right before the door, the stars is up to your right* anyway go onto the platform and go down into the lake area. get on Dorri and ground pound then get on her head and steer to the door to the right. go through there and thats where you get the cap. Also in the wing cap invisible cap and metal cap boards get all the red coins for a star. and there you go.
Now that you have that you can beat your board. Just go into the cave where you got the Treasure of the Ocean Cave star and hit the metal cap and run fast to get the Through the Jet Stream star. Any other questions?
